    February Bandster!!!

Yay I'm so excited for everyone! I had my surgery on Monday and people are already telling me I look like I've lost weight! I'm down 12 lbs now crazy!!! I'm sure once I'm on solids and before my first fill I will prob gain a few but I'm going to try hard not to! This has been such a great thing for me. I really pay attention to my body (definitely still healing) and my stomach tells me right when she is full. I couldn't be happier! How much do you all want to lose during the first year? Anyone have a goal?!

Sytrac nectar is a good brand of protein. I really like the strawberry kiwi one, u can mix it with water. I also really like muscle milk.

I'll have to try cream soup that sounds better than broth. Yeah I'm full constantly too. I have to remind myself that I haven't eaten yet. Crazy! I still have a ton of those gas pains in my chest. It's still the worse part! Last night I kept waking up laying on my stomach, what is my sleep body thinking?! Haha I was never told to give up caffeine. My dr said I could have 1-2 cups of coffee a day so I drank coffee all throughout the pre-op diet, thank goodness because I felt so drained of energy. I haven't had any coffee since the surgery though. I just haven't been interested in it.

I haven't even thought about milk shakes, never came to mind. But I don't leave the house much so maybe thats why. But think happy thoughts! My stomach doesn't like broth for some reason I think maybe because its warm. I have been prefering jello and juice or water over everything. Even the yogurt still was a little heavy yet. I'm flag you are doing better! We are all going to get through this together!

What are you finding to be difficult with it? I found it easier than I thought, I'm on protein shakes and protein bars. Were you allowed the bars?

I'm getting banded the 13th! I start my pre op diet on Monday. Not excited for that part haha but super excited for the operation!
  18. I had my last Apt with the Surgeon yesterday!!!! My date is Feb 13th!

  19. Okay, I lied. Tricare just came back and wants me to be seen 2 more times. So I guess Tricare is now requiring 3 months of a supervised diet.
  20. Yes, I'm curious of the price too! Although, I'm sure it will vary depending on surgent
  21. I didn't have to do the 6 month diet but who knows, call them!
  22. Your surgeon should have a list of doctors they recomend or regularily work with. It's super easy! My apt only lasted 30 minutes.
  23. I feel for you girl! I will be in the same boat as you! I am a military wife so I am living in Virginia with my husband and daughter. All of our family and friends are back home in Wisconsin. I am having my surgery in Wisconsin because I need family to help me with my daughter while I recover. Luckily I was already planning to stay in town for a few months since my husband will be out to sea anyways. My surgeon said he should be able to fill me before I leave. However, I still need to find a doctor close to home (Virginia) incase I need an adjustment.
  24. I have Tricare North (standard) and They do not require a 6 month diet.
  25. Hello! I have tricare north as well and I am waiting for approval. You are not required to have a supervised diet. All I had to do was have a referal from my PCP, a psych evaluation and of course the things your surgeon requires. It's simple with tricare
