hello I was banded on march 1 2007. I live in ny on long island i am 45 yrs old. happy with my surgery all was fine. didnt even take meds when I got home, the gas was not bad either. love this site could not live without it, started with lapband before surgery, after and now what are fills like. told all the other people at dr. office about this site. glad to join the march band club.

hello I also was banded on march 1, I went for my week checkup today lost 12lbs. I also was giving a new diet for week 2, I can now have creamed soups yoguart, refried beans, applesauce. I was so happy to here that. I live in ny on long island Iam 47 yrs old. happy with my band and feel great. better everyday i cant believe it is done how fast.. but of luck to you we are on the same page good luck

hello everyone just a note to say my surgery is for tommorrow. I have been on 2 drinks aday and one little meal for dinner. I live in ny long island. The doctor has a whole wing there for surgery lapband and bypass. I have to be at the hosptial at 11;00 surgery 12;30. I have alway thought that food was my friend, but now I know that it is not so. My friend would not make my body unhealthy, and fat, and have to took all the meds I have to take. MY friend would not let me hate myself or depressed all the time. or hide myself from other people, party, beaches, family vacation the list can go on and on. My true friend will be the true happiness I will feel about myself, motivation I will have just watching the weight come off and truly loving myself for all I did for myself We can do this. food will no longer control me not with the help of my new best friend the lapband Thanks for listening to be bye for now..as of tommorrow I will be a winner

do i bring my tooth brush? , for my surgery tommorrow. should I wear my makeup or go with a clean face? can you please help pack my bags for tommorrow thanks

good luck to you, my day is on t his thur and iam sharing all your same feeling. I live in ny long island. hope all goes well with you . We will be on the same page only 1 day apart. My surgery is at 12;30 I have to be at the hosptial at 11;00 staying 1 night. Food has been my best friend all my life. In good times and bad. I have about 100 pounds to lose. I am looking forward this summer, I have not felt that way in a long time. sorry to be going on and on. My prays go out to both of us be well ...susan

just got back from the hosptial for pre testing. iam starting my clear diet 2 days before. did anyone out there have to take laxitives the day before i do. I am closing on my house, 2 closing wed. surgery thurs. moving on sat. i hope all this can be done my husband says he will take care of everthing for me. as long as i have a bed i will be fine iam counting on little pain. being at the hosptial today really made me see this is really happening, up to today it felt that i was always talking about someone else. that it was not real. the only time i was in the hostial was to have my sons and that was 24 yrs ago. i know that this as to be done it is the best for me. thanks for being there to voice my thoughts. you all out there know how i feel. we need to be there for each other. you guys out there give me the will i need to do this. thanks from the bottom of my heart best of luck to you all love ladyvases

hello iam too getting done on march 1 , alot of my friends are not to understanding about my surgery. some are scared for me, some think am crazy. the surgery was recemmend by my doctor i take 5 different pills aday. i live in ny on long island great way to welcome in spring with a new outlook and a new outfit . good luck to you,

OH MY GOD IS RIGHT, I am going today to get my date at 4;oo oclock and i fell the same way. We will both be fine. I hope mine will be that fast, I was thinging more like 2 weeks. Sure you were too? bye for now

I too have felt that way. I have heard the same. I am going to the doctor for my date on this coming monday 2/12/o7 . I know that I must do this I AM LOSING THIS FIGHT I need all the help I can get. I am 47 yrs old and want to have the second half of my life healthy, happy and sexy too. I look forward to joining this club of the banded, I cant wait for this to help me get there.

Hello from new york I too am going though the same as you with all the doctors appointments and all I am done...I go back on 2/12 maybe for a date. I have start the optefast drinks and bars. they are costing me 75 dollars a week , alot of money I think. I feel like I am waiting is really hard for me. I know there is a thin woman in me yelling to come out already. To start the next part of my new life. Hold on world because I will be here soon good luck with you...

I have done all my doctors visits, heart, lungs, blood work, etc. One more visit with doctor I guess for a date. Starting optifast today I need it after superbowl party yesterday. I have about 100 pds to lose and hope this is the way to go and not with by-pass. How do I know the difference?......are there people out there that feel they should have had by-pass instead or just felt like me and glad they went for labband
