I mean it is enough.. Its enough for everyone around me to see a difference. I guess its because I havent noticed a difference. 2. I was banded 1/3/2012 This past month was been crazy... Im feeling awesome and looking Awesome and starting to workout every chance I get. Was wondering if anyone has tried weight watchers and if you guys think it would be cool to do it with the band. Ive been kinda doing it for 3 or 4 dAYs.. pretty easy. still in bandster hell with the 3 pound shuffle but ive lost about 6 or 7 inchest this month. I get my first fill on the 8th so in a sort week or so I will finally have restriction. W00t.. anyways.. weight watchers yes or no?

    First Two Weeks...

Oh hey everybody before I forget.. There is a lot of other forums posting about having trouble finding a protein shake to drink that tastes good or people having trouble getting enough protein. I found this shake at Sam's club and you get 12 for about 17 bucks... 30grams of protein per shake and its already mixed and it tastes like chocolate milk.. the best Ive had so far I suck them down like i would candy.. So I figured I would share just in case anyone in this group wants to know or is having trouble http://www.premiernutrition.com/protein-shake.html
  8. Ive only been banded 3 weeks and I keep fighting the same 3 pounds too. Its like come on pounds Ive ate everything im suppose to and not been bad about it and Ive been walking everyday but still these same 3 pounds . So youre not alone. Im thinking about actually using a food journal starting today and i think I might try and boost my cardio a little. Stick with it and know you are not alone in the battle of the 3 pounds

    First Two Weeks...

Hey Everyone. April Here. I was banded on Jan 3rd almost 3 weeks ago It seems like it was a life time ago.. I'm on soft foods and mushies now and lemme tell you.. Vegetables never ever tasted as good as they do when you haven't been able to eat for a month. ha ha I'm suppose to weight myself everyday and write it down but my weight loss has pretty much stalled for a week and its disappointing to do that everyday. I keep fighting with the same 3 pounds over and over. I lose it.. it comes back.. For exercise I do the walk away the pounds and also use the wii fit for this game called Basic step.. You step up and down on the wii board for 10-30 mins and it might seem very light but I work up a sweat in about 10 mins. Does anyone have any ideas how to win the war over this 3 pounds because I get my first fill on the 8th of feb and My doctor is a stickler. When I mentioned the healing period and how some people gain weight he shrugged it off and said it wasnt true. How are you guys exercising and keeping active?
  10. Congrats. Hearing things like this make the journey way better. Its inspiring

I did cheat and eat some bread and that was horrible.. I got pAin in my chest and felt sick so i learned my lesson the very hard way. my first fill is on Feb 8th.. just hang in there
  13. Its been 2 weeks post.. Im starting to get antsy with ants in my pants to do something.. My doctor told me I could start walking so My question is. Do you think it would be okay to start walking on the treadmill and doing the elliptical at slow speeds and no incline?

    Scale Is Stuck. -_-

So I had my band on Jan 3rd 2010. 10 days post op and Ive lost about 12 pounds. I am super excited and all that jazz.. It seems like my scale is stuck between 263 and 264 and no matter what I do It just seems to go down to 263 and the next morning im up again. I thought about throwing my scale into a blazing fire of dark abyss but I need it..lol Ive been walking and trying not to over do it with liquid.. anyone else have this problem? I really need the scale to love me again Its starting to bum me out. anyone?

    Scale Is Stuck. -_-

Thank you guys for the little extra support I needed it. I wish I could stop weighing myself but the Doc told me I had to weigh and write it down everyday so he can see it. Bleh! Id rather not because on days like this its best not to know you gained a pound in one night.. lol

    Post Op And Hungry

Im only 10 days in and i feel the same way..Im so hungry and aggravated. I get full drinking the liquids but a little while later im hungry again. I dont know what to do. I thought about starting mushies a little early. can you do that? Another thing I lost 10 pounds the first 5 days after surgery which Im thinking might have been water weight.. Now my weight is going between 263 and 264 and not really doing anything is that normal? Help
  17. So here I am. Nice to meet you all Back in April I had my first meeting with my surgeon and went through a 6 month diet nutrition class, psych eval, all that good stuff, Thursday was my last day of wait and all my paper work has been sent off to Tricare for Approval. I decided to go on to the tricare website to check out the requirements again and its making me a little nervous. Is 100 pounds over ideal weight for height and bone structure and has one of these associated conditions: diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cholecystitis, narcolepsy, Pickwickian syndrome, hypothalamic disorders or severe arthritis of the weight-bearing joints Is 200 percent or more over ideal weight for height and bone structure Has had intestinal bypass or other surgery for obesity and because of complications, requires another surgery (takedown) These are the requirements now. Why im nervous My BMI is 43 and I have fat deposits on my liver which can become something more and dangerous. But im not sure if that really counts as a co-morbid. Also I weigh 276 and my ideal weight is 140 which is about 4 pounds shy of 200 % Anyone else have tricare and do u think I might be approved, This waiting period is killing me even tho its only been a few days
