i did the same thing, and i gained while waiting to be sleeved...

Monday 2/6 is coming!!! WOOT!

PHEW!! Passed the stress test! 2/6 is my day!! WOO HOO!!!

other than admitting the sleeve, what can you say "I'm on a high Protein diet"???

I totally think the losing pre-surgery is hard, if you could do it alone you would not need the surgery.

i only told a handful, those closest to me. Im sure it will be noticeable in a few months though

Thank you, does anyone have any words of incite regarding the stress test?

My date is 2/6, Primary Care doc said my EKG looked a lil off so she wants me to do the Stress Test also...I'm a lil nervous about it. I feel like I came to far to turn around now....

Surgery Date is 2/6/2012!

I am so excited. I started this journey in September 2011, feels like forever but it will be worth it!!

Any advice for me from those of you who have recently gone through the sleeve surgery?

If you gain weight during your wait for surgery and weigh in's...will they tell you that you cant get the surgery?

I hurt my back and couldnt work out....i had an MRI done and it showed a buldging disc.

My cousin said she gained wieght while she was waiting and it wasnt a problem, my primary care doctor said it wasnt a problem either.

Did anyone else gain while waiting?

Im just past the 2nd month of the 3 month process. All my tests have been done, just waiting for the doc to send my psych eval reports to the office.

I tried taking in the reccomended amount of Protein but I am thinking it may not work for me. Can't and overdose of protein shut down your kidneys? Is this the part where you say, what works for one person doesnt work for other and you have to do what's best for you??

Have you found that the overdose of protein was counterproductive?

I am having the same response from my two best friends when I told them I have decided to have this procedure done. They think I am being lazy and not trying hard enough to lose weight. One of my friends told me to not call her when I'm upset about my hair falling out. I really expected them to be more supportive.

They dont understand the chemistry behind your body not letting go of the weight even with you dieting. If you have a medical problem, you go get it taken care of, that's what you are doing. They will be ok!

I agree, it's ok with some until it starts to work, then with some others it's immediatly a problem because you know long fill the role of the "fat friend' that makes them feel better about themselves. It's a hurtful reality to see that is the role we were in...

I shared the fact that I will be getting sleeved around January with my work lunch buddy and he stopped speaking to me. I am feeling your pain...

It kind of comes with the territory....the folks that are with you and love your flaws really have issues themselves. Sometimes you out grow people....sounds like you outgrew her....
