  1. Tip you seem so supportive of others and you're a fur baby person too! BIG thumbs up! Sent from my iPad using VST
  2. I'm 20 kgs down too Angie Pang! Sleeved 2 July. It is coming off slowly but surely. I've had a couple of eating crappily days like my birthday weekend... But otherwise it is coming off SLOWLY but steadily... Sent from my iPad using VST
  3. Hi people! It has been a while since I posted,I am back at work/school and it has been more than a little busy. I am really really thankful that I have been able to swap my break and lunch duties around so for once I actually get to sit down and have half an hour to eat during my crazily hectic schedule. It has been a godsend. My exercise routine has been totally knocked flat though as I am getting home so late and exhausted. The good news is that my WEEKS long stall has shifted, and I am in onederland! 198.4 lb's today! YAY! I have bought a few work clothes in a smaller size, and everyone commented in the first few days back on my WL which was nice. My standard answer to questions is- "changed my diet, been swimming a lot..." Onwards and downwards!
  4. Hi sleevers -I'm two months and 5 days out - just wanted to say I'm doing really well and am down 14 kgs. I'm able to eat most foods unless they are really dense and am not tired any more. Loving my sleeve! Sent from my iPad using VST

This vlog was made almost 6 weeks out, I talk about how I'm doing, what I am eating or not and difficulties and some of the good stuff.
  6. I confess that I really miss my "girls" being bigger already I confess that some days I'm just plain lazy and don't do any exercise I confess that I'm looking forward to trying nookie again what with all the comments about how it gets better I confess that I could murder a glass of wine I confess that I'm definitely one of those with oestrogen issues as I've become a complete sap Sent from my iPad using VST
  7. Not a good idea, unless you leave your nails unpainted. The anaesthatist will look at the colour of your nail bed amongst other things, to check oxygen levels so it is important to have no nail varnish on them. Sent from my iPad using VST
  8. 6 weeks and 28lbs down here.
  9. Thanks for the update Zeus! Hi everyone, I'm 5 weeks out tomorrow and have lost 26lbs since surgery and 41lbs since my surgeon consultation. Still on soft foods but doing really well. Nervous about how I'm going to cope back at work though ( I have hardly any time to drink let alone eat at work) as I'm still on vacation. How is everyone else doing? Anyone struggling with Ramadan? 10. My gynaecologist sat me down at my heaviest and discussed the genetic predisposition to cancer in the women in my family and how it is most likely related to obesity. I had just had a cone biopsy due to precancerous cervical cells. She showed me a weight chart she had done over the last few years tracking my upwardly yo-yo-ing weight and voiced her concerns in no uncertain terms. It scared the wits out of me and I started researching WLS around that time. It was one of the most awkward discussions I've ever had, but I'm so glad she confronted me. Sent from my iPad using VST
  11. I had a different problem- ALL of my notifications showed up as new on my ipad app. Just using my laptop now and waiting to see if they fix the glitch.

@Birdy18 - i don't really feel hungry after swimming, although I do feel thirsty. I haven't had any "famished" feelings after the sleeve just a few head-hinger feelings that I've talked myself out of. @traceylynn - if you want to see what I eat on MFP, feel free to add me, my name on there is Buzzyi and my food diary is open to everyone. I typically try to keep my carbs below 30 and try to get in as much protein as possible at each meal as well as having 1 isopure shake a day. I usually split the shake in half and drink it in two separate sessions a few hours apart so i know I can get all that protein in- it is 50 grams per drink so that is a lot of the reason why I'm getting so much in. I don't have much of a problem getting liquid down, I've just gone off the taste of plain water sadly.
  13. I'm so sorry you've had such horrible problems vhoke, I do hope you recover quickly. Xox
  14. This post by Benjammin made me feel much better about stalling. www.verticalsleevetalk.com/blog/1390/entry-3580-the-voice-of-reason/
  15. I'm also totally off plain water. I like adding crystal light but it is not easy to get here And sugar free gatorade or propel are not available at all. So im trying to make my own water mixes. I've added squeezed lemon and lime to a big jug of water and also a shot of sugar free mint syrup. That's quite good - any other suggestions?
  16. Oh- he also made a status update today which will tell you more. I'm sure he will be touched people are asking after him.
  17. He's doing well and messaged me this morning- he is 5 days out and had some issues with low blood sugar but sorted that out with a little thinned applesauce. He says otherwise he is feeling good! YAY for Jonathan!
  18. Great links- thanks!

I am one month out today, and I am so pleased with my sleeve so far. I have really recovered well and so far I have lost 11.2 kgs or 24 lbs I tried on some clothes yesterday so i could work out size-wise what i need to keep and chuck out and was SO pleasantly surprised that I will have to buy new clothes sooner than I thought. I'm still swimming about 6 days a week and I'm really getting in lots of protein, some days I'm even over 100 grams. I have a few issues with BM but have found a helpful laxative tea, I am still a little sore if I try and lift something I shouldn't and getting in water is a bit of a chore. However, my recovery as been so smooth, I really have nothing to worry about. I really think my surgeon Dr Abdulsalman Al Taie did a fantastic job, my incisions have closed up so quickly and my soreness has been extremely minimal- he went in ,cut , stapled and got out with very little trauma to my insides. I am thankful I don't have nausea at all, or acid issues. I think I can safely say I LOVE MY SLEEVE!
