Oh my goodness! Keeping things real has been on my mind lately because with being overweight, I have tended to put on the Pollyanna face and kept people at a safe distance for fear they would see the "real" me. As if they can't already see the real me with my weight issues. I prayed yesterday for God to show me how to be more real and not feel like I have to present myself in a certain way to be liked. I have value that runs far deeper than jewelry and makeup. I am still a major work in progress but I understand completely what you are saying.
