How great for you! I'm happy for you and you have given me something to look forward too. I can't wait until I am at my own goal. Thanks for sharing your journey.
I had my surgery on 12.12.13. I feel pretty good. Remembering to drink, is hard. I have to make myself do it. I'm also having trouble taking all the medication and supplements. I've reached the pureed food stage. It's not too terrible, but I would like to chew again! The Food Network and the Cooking Channel has turned into porn for me...
Has anyone given any thought as to what they would like to do about exercise? I'm thinking Yoga. I ordered a mat etc. I wish I wanted to run. I don't.
I had my surgery on 12.12.13. My last day was 12.11.13. I took 2 weeks off. But I work for a University and we are closed for 2 weeks for the "Winter Holiday".We reopen on the 2nd. I go back on the 13th. So I'll be out of the office for 4 weeks. I feel fine. But I love having this time off. I'll never be off of work for 4 weeks again. I grabbed my chance.
I just had my surgery and am not ready yet, but the practice that performed my surgery has a support group. The Group often has clothing give aways. You could sell them in lots on ebay or just give them away. While I am looking forward to giving away clothes, I'm a little nervous about the cost of getting transition clothing. (I;ll get over it!)
This is huge fear of mine, loosing hair. I had my surgery last week and so far I'm fine. But I know that if (when) it happens it will happen in a few months. I started taking Biotin about a month a go and will try to keep up with the Protein. I understand that it does grow back. God, I hope so.
Hi all-
Just had my surgery last week. Feeling ok, though I am feeling some of the strange pains that Idlewood described. Not full on pain, but my stomach is def feeling weird. I'm trying to drink all the shakes and broth, its hard! So hard. And um... ahem the earth is not moving for me. I've tried Miralax but it ain't happening. I'm starting to feel, shall we say, cranky.
