Thank you and that is EXACTLY why I am glad she decided to stay at home for college! That is too funny. We are an even better group with you added to the bunch! This is how I feel daily. I just try to keep on keepin on. You can do this! I hope Kat is having fun on her trip.

That dang story made me cry first thing this morning too, and it was AFTER I put my makeup on.:smile2: It was so sweet.

Thank you. Yeah, when she was younger she always wanted to cut it short, but I wouldn't let her. She had 10 inches cut off twice for locks of love and still had it well below her shoulders. Now, she only gets it trimmed.

Nice, have fun at the PARTY! Considering what you were doing last night, I think you would figure it out.:crying: She will benefit from all of the help you give her and she will appreciate it. College football games can be so much fun. My daughter is having a blast. I am posting the pic of her tailgating at her first LSU game as a student below. She is the one on the left in the purple shirt. Prayers will continue to head your way for your uncle.

I haven't heard anything, and I probably won't. Parent conferences are in 2 weeks, oh goody! I really do look forward to it usually, but not so much with this one now. I am glad you are doing a little better. I love cinnamon rolls. YUMMY! Irene, it is good to here from you. I am glad you were able to get your surgery and it sounds like you are doing really well. Congratulations! It sounds like it turned out great, and that gift card was a nice bonus! So, my dear Debbie, have fun spending it. Does anyone else think that it is insane to have to get up at the butt-crack of dawn to go to work? Speaking of getting up at the butt-crack of dawn, Jenn, I hope you get to feeling better and PLEASE go to the doc about that pain in your stomach.

I am sorry about your diagnosis, Michelle. Has your doctor decided on a treatment regimen? Get on here and rant to let off steam. We can take it and send virtual hugs.

Nah, my birthday isn't until Nov 30th, but that is the week that Kat will be in LA. Unfortunately, it is also the night of the LSU-Bama game. I am game for about any weekend, though. Debbie, I am sorry to hear about your friend. That was a lot of temptation you faced after the service. If all you ate was the chocolate cake, then you did better than I would've. I hope everyone has a Magnificent Monday!

Kat, it would be great if we could plan it around the time you are here. That would be fun if you could sneak away on the 6th maybe, hmmmm, maybe??? Tracy, where do you stay when you go to the casino? It looks really expensive. I may have to save all my tutoring money.

The the elliptical is definitely the way to go. It will help you relieve the stress of all of this. Last year when I had the student who tried to attack me, everyone told me (including my principal) to go to the doc and get meds to deal with it. Instead I went to the gym and would stay on the elliptical for an hour each time. It helped and kept me med free. NOW, if I would just go BACK to the gym, it would be great, but alas, my big butt is sitting in this chair.

My day is about as exciting as yours. I also spent most of my hours working yesterday, but at least I was sitting at a Starbucks doing it. I am leaving in the next hour to buy my mom a housecoat and RETURN to a Starbucks to work some more. Then, however, I get to eat my daddy's tasty, fried fish. My life is quite boring right now. At least yours is exciting with the prospect of doing something new. But dang, girl, I don't know how you keep up with kids and all that. I may have to make and send you a big S to put on your shirt for Superwoman.

Sure...that's it. I am sorry you are having the leaky roof problem. I just told hubby and he said you need to get a commercial roofer over there if it continues since you have a transition from shingles to metal. He said most carpenter/roofer guys don't know how to do it correctly, so you get that wind driven rain that blows up in there. It needs some kind of flashing in there to catch the water. BTW, he has worked as a safety mgr for a commercial roofer for 6 years, so that is why I asked him. What casino do y'all go to over there? The only casino I usually go to is the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS, so I know NOTHING about the west LA casinos.

Well, ladies and Plain, my baby is at her first LSU home game as a student. She has been tailgating since 8 am like a true LSU fan and is sitting behind the goal post, 11 rows up right under the "Golden Band from Tigerland"! She is extremely excited. Let's just hope my beloved Tigers can pull out a win.

I am pretty sure I can coerce the dh to take me to a casino for a road trip. Right now things are hectic but maybe in about a month it will slow down a little. I would love to meet y'all! I love to watch little kids play sports. When I was younger, my brother's best friend used to play with his cars in the dirt in the baseline, so his mom started "frisking" him before games looking for his cars!

Tracy, I AM feeling 100 times better, thank you. I am also feeling a little jealous that I never get to see anyone and you and Kat have people close to you. One day I will have to make the 5 hour drive y'alls way (to T & A that is, Kat is so, so far)! It will probably have to wait for a school vacation or something, though. I stay so freaking busy during the school year. I planned until 10:45 last night, drove home, got a little sleep, and I am now going to get ready to leave to go plan some more.

I just got home from planning with my partner teacher and I must say that it looks like y'all had a lot of fun tonight. I love the pics Suzanne and I hope you have fun on the rest of your trip. I am tired and going to bed. I will check in tomorrow morning. Good night!

Well, ladies and Plain, I am feeling much better. I returned to school today to lots of hugs from my kids. The first one in the room peeked around the corner to see if I was there and when he saw me, he rushed and latched on and said he was going to stay stuck to me all day! I was finally able to convince him that in order to teach, he would have to let go! I missed my students so much while I was out! I am still tired from being sick and the lack of sleep after the dang steroid shot Monday, so I think I may go to be now. I will check in on tomorrow morning. Good night all.

Suzanne, it is good to hear from you. I am glad you are enjoying your trip. Debbie...mmmm...describe myself. Well, I am 42, so I am starting to wrinkle, but I am told I still look like I am in my mid 30s, so I guess that is good. I have wavy, many times frizzy , dark blond hair, that is past my shoulders. I have big, blueish, green eyes, that I am told are my best feature.(except my dh likes my curves too). I have full lips, a fair completion, and my face is round, always has been, and I guess always will be. I am 5' 7" and my body is actually hourglass shaped again, albeit a bit bigger hourglass than 20 years ago, but dang-it, it is an hourglass all the same. I'll take it; it is much better than it was 2 years ago. I am in desperate need of a tummy tuck and would love a boob lift, but you could have probably done without that bit of information. Sorry for that extra info. Well ladies, and Plain, I returned to the doctor yesterday morning since I was getting worse, instead of better, and the NP looked at my throat and said "Ouch". Of course, I replied , "uh, yeah, it hurts BAD". The strep spread to the other side of my throat and now both of my ears are infected. So...I am finishing the Zythromax, and I got an antibiotic shot and a steroid shot yesterday. I get up this morning and still feel like crappolla. The steroid shot kept me from sleeping well. OMG, the craziest things would cross my field of vision when I closed my eyes. Strange images and weird neon lights. If I had drugs to go with it, maybe I could have enjoyed it, but I just felt like crap and it kept me from sleeping, so I was quite ticked off. So, here I sit, with not much sleep, having to get ready for another sub in my class today. I have to drive 30 miles to bring the stuff and set it up, because I refuse to leave junk for my kids, it has to be quality work. I am crazy. Then, I will come home and try to rest and then drive 30 miles back this afternoon to tutor an 8th grader, since I am not supposed to be contagious once it is past 24 hours from getting the shot. I am an insane person.

Zumba is fun. I went to a class and had a great time, but it is expensive and it didn't work me any more than an hour on the elliptical, so I didn't go back.
