I am glad to hear you are doing better!

Even if they don't carry your size, they can size you. If they have what you need, try it on, even if you don't buy it. Also, Lane Bryant can fit you, but their bras are ridiculously overpriced as well. You may still buy the boxed bras if you want, but visit either VS or LB and have them fit you. As I have lost, my band size has gone down, but my cup size went up. I was wearing the wrong size until LB fitted me.

I too am a bread-a-holic, albeit recovering. Logan's rolls are amazing. Oh, and the biscuits at Cracker Barrel aren't too shabby either. Ok, if you aren't too tight you MAY be able to eat bread, but let's be honest, hopefully you won't be able to eat much of it. I don't think I could have the Logan's rolls at all now, and I haven't tried. I have, however, had the biscuits at Cracker Barrel. Now, I eat 1 or almost 1, instead of 3 or 4 or 5:sad:. Good luck with your surgery. Hopefully you will be able to get rid of many of your medical problems quickly.

Anyone else NOT have to be on preop diet?
crzytchr replied to kimber1701's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope, my surgeon didn't require it. Just no food after 7 (I think) the night before. He felt it wasn't necessary in most cases, and it made it more difficult for people to stay on the post op diet, which he felt was much more important. He did require preop if he felt the person needed it due to weight or medical history, I believe. -
I fell off the wagon and broke my neck!!!!

I will be totally honest and admit that I eat ice cream once a week. My family and I go to Coldstone Creamery, and my daughter and I split a "gotta have it" birthday cake remix w/o sprinkles. I don't like sprinkles! I can NOT have crunchy pieces of sugar messing with my ice cream experience! Ok, anyway, I eat the ice cream, but it isn't my dessert. I just eat it instead of a meal. Ideally not a good thing, but one day a week won't kill me, and since I eat it instead of a regular meal, I don't go over my caloric intake for the day. My point is, don't worry about it and as long as you don't make a habit of eating a whole quart when you DO decide to have ice cream, you should be ok. Forgive yourself and move on. -

It was my surgeon at the seminar that said the exact same thing. I have been ingesting coffee since I was 2 and it doesn't have that effect on me. I can also drink coffee at 10 pm and go straight to bed. Needless to say, I didn't give up coffee at all. I do, however, make sure to get adequate Water in during the day to counteract the diuretic effect of the caffeine. Thank you, Monkey, for that advice!

Amen, Monkey! -
Tried anything really spicy? I live in southern Louisiana! I love spicy! I used Tabasco sauce on many of my foods and it doesn't give me any problems. Just make sure you will be able to do without any liquids while eating the spicy dishes. Be careful. If you get it too spicy, you may be tempted to drink with your meal.

Can you get de-banded a week after being banded?
crzytchr replied to Erin18's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am glad you are finally feeling better and on the road to recovery. -
Well, when I started my BMI was EXACTLY 50. Now, I am proud to say I am only obese...Sad, that I am excited about being just obese, but I am. My BMI is now 36.8. I was banded a year ago and still have a lot to lose, but I am happy with my progress so far.

I am a teacher and I have to keep my wardrobe appropriate and well-fitting. I went from a tight 26/28 to a 14/16. A LB right fit blue 6T to a right fit blue 1T. I have been constantly buying clothes this past year. BUT I only buy 1 pair of black pants at a time, and I just recently purchased a pair of khakis, from GAP, NOT plus size...unfortunately, I have to take the waist in, because they don't fit well like the LB right fit do. I spend most of my money on tops. I hate my arms, however, and wont expose them. They just FLAP in the breeze. I have a white and a black cardigan that I wear over sleeveless tops and it looks fine. I recently found some really cute sleeveless tops at Cato on clearance for 4.99, so I bought all three styles! I shop clearance and I use the LB gift cheques and Real Woman dollars, which they are giving out now.

Mimi, have you always been sensitive to fills? When they start refilling you, you may not want to do the full 5ccs. Since you are having issues, and I am sure the doctor wants you to be successful and happy, ask if they can do it more gradual and work out the fees (if you are having to pay for them now). If you can go maybe every two weeks and get less each time (maybe start with 3 or 4). When you finally reach 5ccs. have them do maybe .25 at a time. Please ask and see. It can't hurt to ask. I hate to see you suffer like this, when there may be a way to fix it.

Yeah, I have my concerns as well. It seems as if they will have to leave out pivotal parts of the last book/movie, because they can't be tied in, because the background events were left out in THIS movie.... I just hope because it will be in two parts, they find some way to salvage it.:scared2:

Can you get de-banded a week after being banded?
crzytchr replied to Erin18's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I understand. I hated Protein Shakes and refused to drink them. I used the protein bullets, because they were only 3 oz each so it was easy to get them down. I know it feels difficult now, but the sooner you can move to full liquids the better you will begin to feel. -

You may have some restriction from having the band placed. Sucks right now, but better for you in the long run. I was like that and I didn't feel well until I moved to full liquids. Your body is literally starving right now and when you go an extended period of time with only Clear Liquids you will become nauseous. I had a tooth extracted yesterday and didn't consume anything but Water for 18 hours and was about to vomit in my car today. I got home, took my nausea medicine, took a 2 hour nap, woke up, ate and now I feel fine. If it is time for you to move to full liquids, then do so, the nausea will subside. I hurt for over a week after my surgery and couldn't even get out of bed unassisted for 4-5 days. It takes people different amounts of time to recover. You will, however begin to feel a little better each day after you move to full liquids and then on to mushies when it is time. You body is trying to heal right now. If you think you are experiencing other than your body healing and being hungry, call your surgeon. -
Introducing myself & My Story so far...
crzytchr replied to Tina254's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yeah, you really shouldn't get pregnant that soon. My friend had NEVER ovulated like she was supposed to and tried for two years before conceiving her first and tried for 3 before conceiving the twins. Each pregnancy required rounds of fertility drugs. She REALLY had no idea she could get pregnant on her own. This was definitely a surprise pregnancy. Poor thing, her twins will be 1 1/2 yrs old when this baby is born! -

chrystinaw, congratulations on your decision to be banded and with your upcoming surgery. You must be really excited. I ran upon this post by accident yesterday from the main forum. I just read you original post and wanted to assure you that this may possible be the answer to your baby prayers. My close friend was banded two weeks before me. She always thought she was "infertile". She had two pregnancies but she was on fertility drugs for both. When she was banded last July, she had a 5 year old son and 6 month old twins. She lost 40 lbs and began ovulating without realizing it! She found out she was pregnant again around Christmas. She is stunned and is due in September. She isn't having problems with her band during her pregnancy and she is doing great. Really, though, I think ideally, doctors want people to wait a year after being banded before becoming pregnant. Again, good luck on Monday! -
Unless you are going to have someone drive you to school, you really can't go. I pretty sure you aren't cleared for driving because of the anesthetic in your system from the surgery the day before. Even is someone is driving you, you probably won't feel like it.

Actually afraid for full liquids
crzytchr replied to Erin18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Erin, unless you are getting sick now, the full liquids shouldn't make you sick. I was so ready for my full liquids. I really enjoyed the cream of chicken soup. I added a little pepper, sage and garlic powder to it and the taste was really good. You should be fine and will probably start to actually feel better once you begin getting more calories in your system. Good luck and enjoy your full liquids! -
I would suggest going with the smaller size, but you will probably need a bigger cup size. I went from a 44DDD to a 40G in the same exact bra, because my band size dropped, but my actual breast size remained the same. So, unless you buy the actual size you need right now, it may not fit you correctly anyway. Good luck!
