May have a leak in port

If it has been a week and you can still barely drink liquids, you should try to return and get a small amount taken out. Just having .5ccs out could possibly help a lot.
  3. My surgery was done as outpatient. I had surgery at 11:30 and was home around 4. It was the first time I had ever had surgery and it went well, and I haven't had any complications so far.

Kat, I sure hope you feel better soon! STAY IN BED!!!
  5. I think your calories are a little on the low side. Try to get it up to at least 1000 per day. On mushies I ate refried beans with ff sour cream and reduced fat cheddar. I also made chili or anything like that and put it in the food processor. Tuna salad, chicken salad, etc. Just put the food processor to work. I ate 1200-1500 calories per day since the beginning and I lost the first 90 lbs without exercise (not recommending it, just what I did). NOW, I must exercise or I can't lose at all, since I don't want to drop my calorie intake lower than it is.

Kat: I sure hope you call the doc this morning and get that taken care of. I do the same thing as you do and wait until it hits my lungs before I do anything. Why do we do this to ourselves?

    RUBY/Style Network

I like watching Ruby. I love how she says "humidifying" and "what in the helicopter". She is doing a great job.

    My stomach is on FIRE

I would suggest you call your lapband surgeon. You have done too well and had great success. Don't play with this. The continued reflux can cause you problems. Please take care of yourself and check with your doc. BTW, you look AMAZING!
  9. If you are pbing everything except liquids, you should probably go for an unfill. At this stage, the growing twins will use up most of your calories you are consuming anyway. It is possible that you have some swelling from the babies moving and it is agitating your stomach/band. To keep from having band issues later and to be able to consume enough for the babies, I would suggest calling and getting unfilled asap. Good luck and congratulations on you little miracles!

Well, head on over here. I have 4 1/2 acres. You can mow all day! I really admire people who love to mow, because I just don't see the appeal. I guess it is that I HATE to get hot. I hope you enjoy your breakfast AND your mowing.

Charlene, you are doing great! Maybe I need to do shakes:unsure:.
  12. It takes different amounts for people to feel restriction. My friend was banded 2 weeks prior to me with the same size band. She needed to hit 7 ccs to have restriction and I hit restriction with 1cc. I do have a question, though..are they pulling out what is in the band to check the level of fluid before they give you a fill? It is possible that you have a leak OR that they aren't hitting the port each time, so if they aren't pulling it all out, please request that next time.

I am 5'7. My goal weight will put me around a size 12-14, which is a very doable goal. That is why I picked it. I also look good when I am at that weight, even though it is still overweight. I do not aspire to be thin, just to look better and be healthy. I am at a size 16 and at my lowest weight right now since the birth of my daughter over 18 years ago. My goal weight will put me around where I was when I got married.

Suzy: if they are telling you this, have they done a full sped referral yet? If so, they should be moving toward writing an IEP for her. If not, ask for a 504 plan until something is done. With a 504, you can request extended time for testing so she has time to finish. It is also a good idea to ask for a reduced amount of items on tests and homework. If she can do 10 problems, she can do 20. It shouldn't be necessary to torture her by asking her to complete more than is necessary. So, basically, ask them if they are testing her for special ed services, and if they aren't, ask them why not? If they are saying she has a lower IQ, they must know she needs extra help. They should be making an effort to help her. Gia is really lucky to have someone like you on her side . Update: my new "angel" in my class is a little better and I am surviving him. I am going to the gym to relieve stress, so I am acutally losing a little weight now. That is a plus! My friends, I read your posts every day, but I have been so busy, I can't respond. Luckily, it is spring break here and I have a week off. I am, however, working tomorrow. My friend and I are planning. Today, it is time to clean...ugh:unsure: I will check in again later.

  18. Congratulations, Jason. That is amazing! Keep up the great work.
  19. I feel for you, since I am a school teacher and my insurance is fairly high and the coverage stinks. Unfortunately, I am not sure that people that have access to insurance through their employer will be allowed to buy into the government program. The bad part is, it is likely that the insurance premiums we pay already will increase even more. Upside, I believe they will have to cover pre-existing conditions and I believe remove the cap. This is going to take a while to Iron out the kinks, and only time will tell if this is going to be what people hope for.

Getting rid of the nastiness in your life is a good thing, cuz with friends like that who needs enemies? Jeez. And, furthermore, you deserve to think you are the shit now. You have accomplished a lot. Don't keep anyone around you who isn't supportive. It just isn't worth it.

    Mimilou2004's TT

Congratulations on your TT! It sounds like you are doing well. Once I get finished buying cars for my teenagers, I will get some PS myself. Goodness, I need it. Keep up with your pain meds and keep us updated.:scared2:

Kimaly, I am sorry to hear about your rings. It is the downside of weightloss, but the only one I can think of. If I were you, I would call the day spa. It is possible someone turned it in and they don't know who it belongs to. Well, I am headed to the gym in a little bit....Yes, I said gym. I have been going since my new "angel" arrived in my class. I find that it relieves some stress. I have worked out everyday since last Monday, except Friday because I planned with my partner teacher after school until 10pm. I joked with my principal that I may have to give the little stinker a thank you card when this is all over with.
  24. New tummy, boobies AND thighs!?!?!? I am soooo jealous. Congratulations.
  25. Mine was not done like this, but she did judge my fill according to how water went down. She put in 2ccs and I told her I could feel the water going down slowly, so she removed 1cc and left it like that. It is better to go slower and not become too tight.
