I have switched insurance, so my fills have gone from $20 to $200. Is there anyone cheaper around the Houston area...I need a fill as I have gained over 30 lbs of my 80 lost back. I cannot afford $200, hell even $100 will set me back, Cops don't make much, and I have a wife and new son to feed, any help would be appreciated.

Everytime I get a fill, I usually need over 1cc, I go maybe every 4 months. When I get the fill, my stomach doesn't take well to it, and usually locks up so I cannot get anything down, not even my own saliva, so the dr ends up having to take more than half of what he put in out, and 3 days later I am starving just like I was before. What's the deal, anyone had problems with this? He said my stomach might be going into spasms, does anyone know of a way to avoid this, I am getting very down on my lap-band right now.

Everynow and then, I will be woken at night (which is why I am awake at 4:23am) with horrible stomach pain, maybe once a week. I can't tell if it's gas or what it is. I can't throw up, and I can't release any gas or poo, has anyone had a similiar experiance, please help, I'm desperate and don't wanna go to the Dr. in fear of having my band removed...

Amen brotha. I wear these under my work shirts all the time. And the good thing is, my duty shirt is made of the same kind of sweat releasing material as the U.A. shirt, so when I'm fighting the inmates and sweating...you'd never be able to tell it from my shirt Not to mention some of the fellas like to play practical jokes with Water, which dries up within minutes, so they never know if they got me or not

My wife and I were both banded on the same day. She had lost up to about 60 lbs, but then I hit the target one night, and she got pregnant and had to get completely unfilled. I feel bad, but it felt good, and now I have a son on the way.

I did it, kept making new holes until it finally broke in half, I miss that ole thing...

I work right now as a Correctional Officer in Ft. Bend County, Texas, and soon I will be a patrol deputy. I fight inmates all the time, and haven't had any problems. I've even been punched right in the band, and that is about as much contact as you can get. So far so good! Pretty soon I'll be back to riding bulls, so I will let you all know how that works out as well

I've had 2 fills, and each time, it feels like I am way too tight, he will put 2cc's in, and then I go to drink some water, and it makes me instantly sick, then he takes 1cc out, and instant relief. But then a week later I feel like I have no restriction what-so-ever. The last fill I had, I could drink the water, but it made a really awful gurggaling sound, and they told me if you hear that sound, you need unfilled. I'm not losing weight like I would want, mainly because I can eat, and I know I am supposed to use my portion control, but it's hard when your stomach says you need more. I want the perfect fill, but I don't know how to get to it. Maybe I should try to tough it out when the water gurgles in my throat? Any advice would be awesome.

Dr. Spiegal is awesome, and I love his sense of humor, he calls me high maintenance and a sissy because the last 2 times I've had a fill, it's been too tight as to where I can't even drink water, so he has had to take some out, but my wife has taken her fills very good, so it makes me look bad, lol.

I was wondering how long most of you waited until you did weight training and/or ab excersizes, my doc said wait 3 months, I'm at 2 now, running helps, but I really want to hit the gym hard and coax the weight off faster...would I just be prematuraly eja...I mean exersizing, or should I wait because the Dr told me so?

I've heard good things about the QB position so far, the newcomers are supposed to be good, but the bad thing is, they are new, I predict that if we don't get the title this year, it will be next. Edit: And how about AD at the NFL combine, impressive.

So what do you think? National Champs this year?

I was banded Feb 2nd of this year, I just wanted to say OUsooner a.k.a Neal, you're one of my inspirations for doing this, if I only have half your success, I will be greatful, I love my lap-band, 20 lbs in 1 month, a true life saver

About how long after the surgery does the gas usually last, it's driving me and my wife crazy, it's making it so she can't eat her jello or drink anything, and I confuse it with hunger (until I get up and walk, then pass out of both ends non-stop lol).
