Gas Questions

About how long after the surgery does the gas usually last, it's driving me and my wife crazy, it's making it so she can't eat her jello or drink anything, and I confuse it with hunger (until I get up and walk, then pass out of both ends non-stop lol).

My gas started the 2nd day after surgery and lasted 1 day. It was horrible but, no pun intended, it will pass. LOL

I had surgical gas pain for about 4 days after surgery. The more you move around, the better it gets. No amount of Beano or Gas-X will make a difference, it has to dissipate from your tissues.

Keep walking and it will get better.

I had the pain for about four days....keep walking and moving around, it does get better. I also drank peppermint tea which made me feel better. Good luck!

It was 11 days of HELL for me with the gas pains. I was walking around the house all hours of the day and night trying to just work it out of my body. THAT was the worst part of it for me.
