WOW I feel like a complete failure... I am almost a month out and I am only getting in 30-40g a day and that is a good day. I have been trying to do my Protein Shakes but my they do not agree with my sleeve at all, so I have been trying to get it from my food but I can only eat 2-4oz at a time so that doesn't really do much... Guess I am going to have to keep trying till I figure out something that works for me.

I was sleeved the 1st also... Sorry you have a leak... My surgeon said the best thing to do for a leak is the drain and leave it alone, give it time to heal on their own. Take care... Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Well my drain is out!!! Thanks everyone, you were exactly right very weird feeling but over in seconds and all the pain I was having was gone immediately! I could even walk better sleep better it is wonderful having that thing out.

MUG WARMER!!! I hate always having to reheat, and being in the liquid stage it is nice to just put Soups in a mug and sit it on a mug warmer.

Ok everyone I am TOTALLY FREAKING OUT!!!! I had surgery July 1st and I had a drain put in, my doctor just requires it.... And I have not been nervous about surgery or anything just totally freaked out about this drain, especially getting it removed! I have been in a lot of pain because of it and I am ready to get it out but I am sooooo scared of how bad the pain is going to be when they remove it tomorrow... I really don't know what to expect... Talk me down people!!! I wish I could do a 5th of Jack before removal ha ha..

If it wasn't for having this drain I would have no pain at all.... The first couple of days there was some gas pain but walking helped that.

Good luck everyone no worries you all will do fine, see you on the loser bench.

Everyone is different I lost 10 lbs.

I am totally into clean eating and absolutely hate artificial sweeteners and think they are horrible for you, but I have been putting up with them for the pre op diet but now that I am sleeved I would like to switch to using just a tiny amount of honey instead... Has anyone tried this???

Sleeved July 1st gained 3 lbs in the hospital, got on the scale this morning and was happy to see I lost the 3lbs and 4 more! Woohoo it's working, so far I am loving sleevie!

My doctor has me on clear liquids only no Protein Shakes for the first week. I did get some Unjury unflavored Protein to add to my broth. I think the first week is about getting your liquids in.

Bags are packed, now to do my shower and wash with the magic soap, then off to bed got to be up at 4:00am and arrive at hospital at 6:15am ( hospital is an hour away) Good luck everyone!

Tomorrow is my surgery and it was great reading this post after being on the 2 week liquid diet, I cannot wait to get to that stage! At that stage I will be on our family vacation camping on the Flordia coast, I was hoping to be able to get some real food by then....

Great advice thanks for sharing!

On day 11 of my pre-op diet, I always do a Protein Shakes as meals, and a couple for Snacks I could have up to 6 a day and they really seemed to help me with hunger, and lots of Water and activity to keep your mind busy in between.

I arrive Monday at 6:15am... I had my pre-admission test done today and everthing is a go! I bought my gas-x strips, chapstick, and travel pillow today, now packing.... I have to say I am the only thing I am nervous about is getting nausea after surgery and getting my drain removed in a week

You look great, congrats and keep up the good work!

Yes I'm on the Mirena and was going on 2 years with out a period. Since my surgery April 25th I've had a reg period every month and spotting in between. The doctor says its normal for the first year because of the rapid weight loss our hormones will be thrown off. Hate it!!!
Oh wow I wasn't expecting that I thought I was safe with my Mirena... But even on my preop diet, aunt flo has come for a visit... Now I know why....

Slow losers..... Motivational steps

I was sleeved July 1st and since surgery I have only lost 17lbs.. 27 total with pre-op diet... I guess I am going to be a slow loser... I also know I have not been getting my liquid and Protein in like I should... Going to TRY and bump that up and see if I can lose a little faster... I am feeling pretty discouraged right now.
