  1. I too have been stalled for a few days. scale staying the same. Today is my first day back to gym. I am very excited. I am not taking in enough Water. I really have to work on that. Its weird, I just don't find my self wanting as much water as pre-op. That is one thing I am going to change today ( besides the gym). I see so many people with calories this calories that. My DR said stop worrying about that just listen to you stomach. Well right now I dont have much in I am due for a second fill right after turkey day. They didn't put anything in during surgery as they said there was too much fat around the stomach. I had one small fill two week ago. I am down about 32lbs. So I think the next fill will hit the spot. Right now I just have to be careful Any feedback would be great. My diet consists of mostly Cream Of Wheat, Cottage cheese, eggs, chicken,Herring, liquid Multi Vitamin, Soup and turkey meatballs some cheese. some salad. I can eat anything but I try to est half or a quarter of any serving. I do not order any large meals and tend to stick with healthly alternatives. So I think the excersize and adjustment will kick me into overdrive.
  2. Yea going good. Getting hungrier at dinner time now. But So far doing great.

    Band isn't working for me

WOW... I could never imagine going thru hell and back then right back to hell. I wish you the best luck...
  7. I was told by my Dr during this time not to worry about calories so much. Remember this is not a diet. I know we are all used to that. Your stomach is going to tell you when you get your first fill when its time to stop eating. So right now, don't worry about it. Just eat the right foods and not too much. Actually you are lucky, I had to stay on liquid diet for two weeks after and now on the last part of my 3rd week on mush. I can start full food next week. If you have any questions, I would love to try and answer them! Keep me updated.
  8. I am also on my 3rd week and I was hungy the first few days but I just ate more small meals. I used a protein drink if I got hungry. I also found I could eat just about anything because I only have 1 cc in my band. I get my first fill Monday. I have been eating Cream Of Wheat with a little butter and pure sugar. Love it.. Cottage Cheese, Egg Whites with cheese, rocotta cheese and Diet Snapple and soup as a meal. I really have not found myself too hungry. What have you been eating? I was excited to start eating mashed potatoes but for some reason I relly dont like them as mush as I used to. My biggest hurdle has been not drinking during my meals. If you need to bounce anything off me, dont hesitate. Let me know how the Dr appt goes tomorrow!
  9. YAY down another 3 LBS

  10. It will take about a week or so. The pain will be worth is I swear! Hollar if you need to talk!

  11. I have started my mushed foods but with mush and going forward to regular food... What if I want Soup with a meal? Does that mean Soup IS the meal? I am told I can have a drink right up till the time I eat and then an hour after. So where does the soup aspect play in here? Someone please help. Thanks!
  12. Doing great, down 26lbs and getting first fill Monday. I think Jersey hit the nail. It's best to stay away from soup now unless its a full meal. I have kinda sat same weight for a few days and I think that's due to not hitting the gym yet and no restictions yet. I am just looking forward to food and fill. LOL Thanks for the help all!

    Newbie here - Saying Hi!

Hi Chill, Your primary doctor will give the insurance a note if you ask stating you need the surgery for your health. As far as insurance, you either have it covered or not. You will know when the Dr Office calls in the codes for the procedure. They might accept WW but will still put you on a restricted diet. Not sure how long but again if you gave the Office your insurace information, they will tell you at the oreintation if you are approved. Actually you can call your insurance company and give them the code. The code for Lapband is CPT 43770 Keep me posted and good luck
  19. As far as the Dietician, I think they work with the DR to get you to buy Vitamins, shakes and other stuff. Don't do it becuase they will suck you in like AMWAY. You only need to shrink your liver the two weeks before the operation! All the products you need are available at Taget, costco, GNC, Whole Foods, your grovery store and many more. I would consult with a/your NUT on this for sure. She or he will help you though the entire journey if they are good! So you know, the two week pre op diet is not about calories or carbs ( you will get Protein during this time from shakes).. So don't worry when you get to that point. The little secret about Insurance and WLS is very interesting. The reason they want you to start on a 6 month diet plan (which you only need to do this 2 weeks prior for medical reasons) is because by that time, the insurance company has paid for the procedure with your premiums. Or better yet, they will hope you are so successful you won't want the surgery and they can save even more money. Insurance companies are only about the Benjamin's.. They suck. In any case, do what you need to get the surgery! It is so worth it! Keep usupdated! Best wishes.
