The forum I've been going to for the lapband, lapbandtalk.com, had a challenge this month to try a new food. I've tried 3... I had eggplant parmesean, lentils, tonight I had leek soup. So far I haven't had anything I did not like. :-)

I've picked out a name for my lap-band. The Star Wars fans will love this.... Lando the Bando. :-) hehehehe

I'm going to have surgery on June 5th.... omg it's real now! WOW.... I feel really weird to be excited about having major surgery.

My mom and I played with the Wii tonight... we played baseball, tennis, and golf. My elbows and shoulders hurt, but it was so much fun!!

I called BCBS today to see about the pre-authorization for my lap-band and they said they had just received the forms on the 8th. So 10 more days of waiting.....

Bought a protein mix at Walmart the other day called Body Fortress... it's not too bad. I had a protein drink and a piece of whole wheat toast for breakfast, and I feel really satisfied.

I lost 4 more lbs!!!! Yippee!!!! I haven't been at this weight in almost 16 months....

Went back to the grocery store today.... Eating healthy is SO EXPENSIVE!! No wonder there are so many fat people when it's cheaper and easier to buy junk food. But I'm actually enjoying all the different kinds of recipes at EatingWell.com. Who knows I might come out of this being a "foodie"!!
