The economy is doing well now. But things we do now, seem to impact us later down the road. I guess what I am experiencing in my current roll is a lot different than what others have. Our staff was cut in 1/2 and no one got a package, because they choose to leave so they would have a job for that reason alone there were no layoffs, which I am sure the company is greatful! The bottom line is, when jobs are outsourcing, someone in the US is loosing that job, directly or indirectly. More and more companies are doing it, (at least the ones that I deal with im my industry). I hope it's a phase that will soon pass. As a professional worker, it is no fun fixing mistakes, and filtering through "crap" so our customers don't feel the impact of having inefficent service because of the lack training received and the distance. Anyone can do a job that they are trained to do, but it's difficult when you are miles and miles away... JMHO
  2. I made the choice to only tell a select few......I just felt that I would be under a microscope and since I am a struggling bandster...I think it was in my best interest not to share...... That's just me.....My mom, husband, sister, and like 3 friends are the only people that know. I also felt that my women friends would treat me funny.....
  3. How much does a lowe body lift cost anyway....If nothing else I would LOVE to get a tummy tuck!!!!
  4. Well I am currently taking phentermine because I am not at the proper restriction. My fill nurse did not put me back where I was suppose to be after I had the baby. We switched insurance and not I can not afford a fill just yet. On top of that I have to pay what I owe on the first fill. Once I get all the finances figured out, I'll get another fill. Until then, I am restricting my diet, taking vitamins and the phen.....I just can't bare the thought of gaining another pound. I am only giving myself 3-4 months.......

What is everyone's thought on OUTSOURCING? I am not going to go there about who I support politically and who I don't....If large corporations are outsourcing american jobs to India, as well as other third world countires and we are spending TONS of money on the war...what's going to happen to the future of the Good Ole USA? Can our economy recover? Seems there will only be 2 classes of people RICH and POOR. The last time I checked, the average joes make the world go wrong....Let me know your thoughts? Is your employer outsourcing? How do you think it's going to effect our economy? How can we band together to STOP IT?!? __________________ **Thought I would start this as a new thread**
  6. Yesterday and Today I spent a lot of time reading various sights and groups regarding weightloss, Lapband, and diets....Well, the truth of the matter is, no matter what route you decide to take to loose weight, it's all about the sacrifice and self discipline. HUH! All this time I thought the band was going to do all the work...SILLY ME!:omg: I will start with the small changes as I stated in my previous entry....I just hope that I can hang on to a small piece of motivation to continue to press on. What motivates me.... MY FAMILY-I have to become more healthy to be an example for my family! SUMMER-Everyone wants to be cute during the summer...right?!? MONEY-I refuse to spend tons of money on summer clothes. I will try to post at least 4 times a week!! I am hoping that this will also help to motivate me! We can only see....time will tell!!! CIAO!!!:bounce:

Well like the saying goes...."Today is the first day of the rest of your like." :straight . I have got to get myself together. I have decided that I am going to have to buckle down and start with small changes that I know are for the best. I think that my biggest failure is looking at the whole picture instead of focusing on a couple of things to help myself along the way.:faint: My goal for this upcoming week is: :clap2: WATER! I will not say how much. At this point, I am virtually drinking NONE! So every little bit helps. :clap2: VITAMINS! I have some calcium and vitamin pills that I will start taking. :clap2: BEING MORE AWARE OF WHAT I PUT IN MY MOUTH! I have identified myself as a stress eater....I am going to have to do something else besides eating when I am stressed!!!! I can not say how often I can journal, but I will do the best I can. I hope that with small changes, I can get back on track. **For anyone reading this, I hope that I can help anyone out there that is struggling like me** PEACE:hippie:

  10. I got so excited when I saw this post.....I have been struggling from the very beginning.....but after the baby....WOW, I have been struggling twice as hard. I know that I have a lot of things that I need to work on. I have accepted the fact that the band is just a tool and I am going to have to take the pressure off the band and do some of the work myself. Easier said than done of course!!!! I am a stress eater, I know that is the main problem that I am having. If I honestly ate when I was hungry, it would only be once a day.... Anywho I hope I am accepted into the group!!!! Looking to be encouraged and to encouraged!!!!!:clap2:
  11. I just order the Unjury. My LB doctor recommends it. I ordered the vanilla. I hope it works. I really have to get back on track!
  12. Monica you are not alone. I have always been a slow loser. I know a lot of the reason is because of my behavior and my poor choices. I hate to admit this, but I HAVE to be as restricted as possible, I HAVE to PB in order to not over indulge, it HAS to hurt. I really don't have any self control....Ok enough of that. You are doing great. On average you are right where you should be. I wish I could loose as fast as the individuals that have the gastric bypass, but I like the fact that I was able to get an unfill during my pregnancy and not have to worry about malabsorption. I like the fact that if I get some sorta sickness, I can Undo my WLS. Just my thoughts. I hope everything works out.
  13. Not sure about the cold feeling, but I have and still do experience lots of gas in my belly.....If it becomes bothersome, ask your doctor if you can/should take GASX. That stuff has saved my life a many of days!!! :biggrin1:
  14. I saw the segment as I was waiting for my fill....how ironic.......
  15. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!! You keep doing your thing!
  16. I say keep lying. I know that sounds awful, but you have way too much at stake! Especially with the boss thinking something else. You could always ask your friends if you all can hang out without eating. For example going bowling, a movie night, something other than eating. I have found that most people surround every function, get together around EATING! You can use your "diet" as an excuse. I am a closet bandster and I have so many hardships from the people I told. I even helped one person on the road to getting banded and got kicked in the teeth. Take it from me. You will feel better if you tell, but your friends may feel betrayed. I also confided in someone that confided in someone....you get my point! I was not friendly with that person either, so now I have to wonder who she told! She is a know gossiper!(sp?) I hope it all works out for you!
  17. LOL! I thought I was the only that had the "Dan Lester" experiece! HI DONALI! I'll be emailing soon!
  18. Happy Banday! Awesome!!!!!
  19. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You deserve it!!!!
  20. I think I get aggivated the most with the "How much have you lost" and then the follow-up. "That's it." I have not told many people, I probably won't. I have been burned by a few I have told.
  21. I am sorry you are having a tough time! You would think with all the proven results, the lapband would be covered by all insurance companies! :tired I am not in the OH area. I am sure someone will be able to offer you more assistance.

CONGRATS!!!! Kids are so honest. When they say things, it's truth straight from the heart!!!!
  23. Thanks Guys! I really appreciate it... LA Madam-My original start weight was 235. I am currently at 175-180. I guess I need to change my ticker :0) My eating is so inconsistent. This morning so far I have had. 2 bites of yogurt and 1/2 cup of coffee. lunch, not sure. I have a BIG bottle of disani on my desk. I am waiting on it to get room temp. I don't care for cold Water. Weird I know! I think I am going to start tracking what I am eating so I can see where my down falls are. I say that quite often, and by the second day I have forgotten. I don't do a great job taking care of myself.... I am going to try and do better. BASBYINTX- I know I need to take it day by day, but when I compare my self to others, I feel like a failure! Thanks again. I appreciate it! Birdee
  24. I have been feeling so discourage. I read a post a long time ago about not being so special.....the point of the post was to not think negatively about the band. That no one out there is special enough for the band not to work. Some of you all that have been around a while may remember it. Any how, here lately I have SUCKED at being banded. I have not been doing well at all. I am still on my first 20oz of Water. It's now almost 3:00. I OVERATE at lunch and cheated by drinking while eating......I just don't and can't understand my behavior. I am 40 pounds from goal. You would think that would be motivation enough but it's not. I am restricted just about to the max. I am at 3.8 CC's in a 4.0CC band. A lot of people may not think that being that restricted is healthy, but this is how I have to be in order to have self control with my eating. I joined a gym not to long ago, I haven't been in 3 weeks. I want to go, I have the desire but things just get in the way, kids, work, etc.... My Husband has decided to "diet" and that in itself is causing me A LOT of grief. I know in the long run it will help me, but that's why I got banded, to be able to eat what I want, just in smaller portions. Since I am the primary cook, shopper, etc. The stress of the "diet" is going to fall on me. I am trying very hard not to be negative about the whole thing, but IT SUCKS to have to keep up with the portions, the types of food, the preparation. I have to be supportive. He was supportive when I got banded. Sometimes I just wish he would get banded, but then on the down side if both of us were banded, it would be a very bad example for our children. They would have two weird eating parents that had to drown everything in condiments just to be able to eat. Our ultimate goal is to go to the gym together, but I really don't want to go with him. He is insanely jealous, yet has a wondering eye and I just don't want to add that type of tension to a work out. Plus I NEED to be supportive. I hate to be a whiner, but I am not a bandster that has shared my procedure with many, so any input you all have would be great!
  25. I am sorry to hear of your loss....... let me know if you need anything!
