  1. Tell me about it!!! I am needing to shave like everyday!!!!!!!
  2. I need this so much...The scale controls my day. If it doesn't move (most of the time it doesn't) I am upset. If it acts as if it might wanna go in the WORNG direction, I AM A bitch on wheels!!! So, with that being said. Tomorrow:D Will be my last time this week, until next Thursday!!!
  3. I am kinda worried about my weight Loss....(Like who isn't huh.) Well I looked at the calendar and I am almost a year out. It's been a long but short year.....if that makes since. From one stand point it seems like forever, but then again, maybe not. When I look at so many bandster stats and I feel like I am a failure. I know I have not played it straight either. For some strange reason, I thought the weight would come off easier than it has. I guess I thought that just getting the band would be enough. It has taken me a whole year to realize that getting the band is not enough. :think It's obvious that I am a slow learner . So what's a gal to do??!!?? I am searching for hope. I need to know that at 3.4 cc's a year later and 49 pounds lighter, that it is possible to make it to my goal. I guess I am so use to seeing the bulk of the weight fall off of people in their first year, and in actuality I am only half way there. I just needed to vent.......... Thanks!!!! 8. ((Penni)) I am sorry that you are having to go through surgery again! I wish you luck....keep us posted.
  9. Thanks for the advice!!! Penni- You mentioned a juice fast. Please elaborate. Thanks
  10. Where are you!!??!! I am sure you are here. It's me that hasn't been around. Just wanted to let you know that your assistance is required on spotlight.......
  11. FAT if you don't...so they say! Well I have been stuck at this freakin' plateau for at least 2 months! So I decided to start exercising, because after all with diet and exercise you should loose weight. Right? Well I have been going to the park walking and jogging...yes me jogging, panting, sweating, dying, and jogging. I have been jumping on the scale and guess what. It ain't loosong no weight. To be honest I can't say inches either. So this is my thought process, if I sit around and not loose any weight, why work out. I think that I may be the sorriest excuse for a bandster. I am almost a year out and I have a grand total loss of 45 pounds. I must admit that I have not been following the bandster guidelines to the "T" but I am restricted enough that the only thing that I can get down that's bad is star buck frappacinos, milk shakes, and ice cream; which I don't indulgen in that often. What is the deal!!!!!!!! I am getting so discouraged! Well let me back up. I have been doing the walking, running, jogging thing for about 2 weeks. Out of two weeks I have exercised 9 days. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am getting desperate. I am ready for the weight loss phase to be over....I am ready to move on to "maintain". I am open to any suggestions! :cry
  12. Above average......... I thought I would be a menace for sure!
  13. I am sure that men do go through those types of situations as well, but normally it's the women. I am glad to hear that everything worked out in the end for your cousin..... Birdee
  14. If you can get a message to her...let her know that we miss her and hope that she gets better soon. Birdee
  15. Well if you can get a message to her...tell her we miss her and to get well soon!!!! Birdee
  16. ((Chantal)) I am sorry for what you are going through. I don't like giving advice regarding relationships. But I will tell you this. My very best friend's parents use to argue and fight all the time. It got so bad that she would wake up in the middle the night or didn't sleep at all ( due to the fighting). She even use to fall asleep in school because of the lack of sleep, and then use to get in trouble for falling asleep. When her parents FINALLY decided to call it quits, her and her sister helped him pack his stuff!!!! She is now over 30 years old and she still remembers the fights and arguments like it was yesterday. My point of telling you this, is to keep in mind what your realtionship may be doing to your children. As much as we (wives) want the house, the white pickket fence, the "mom and dad" etc. for our children; it may not always be the best thing for our children. I am not saying that what was going on in my friends' parents relationship is identical to what's going on in yours, so please don't take it that way! I am saying don't go threw a whole bunch of drama to give your children "mom and dad." They may be better off with just you. I hope things get better soon!
  17. ((Lori)) Thanks for sharing your story. I am so sorry for what you had to go through. I am glad you are better. Good Luck with everything! Birdee
  18. WOW I AM JEALOUS...seeing how I was banded before you and have lost A LOT less:cry But You have given me the inspiration that I CAN and WILL do it! Congratulations.....I am sure you look awesome!!!! Birdee
  19. Penni- Thanks I am going to check out the website now! Donali- Okay brace yourself for probably the most ignorant comment ever.....I can drink Soy milk in lieu of Regular milk without the cramping and gas??!!?? I can try that as well as non dairy Proteins for a change of pace!!!!!! :guess Thanks guys!!! You all are the best
  20. I think....well I am actually almost certain!!!!! Okay all the protein drinks that I have require milk. Does anyone know of a decent tasting protein shake that does not require milk?
  21. Thanks Donali....you are heaven sent. I just got off the phone with my PA and I told her about it being the pain being in my abdomen and sometimes accompanied by some shoulder pain. After telling her my symptoms she thinks it's just gas....so now I wonder. She asked me if I had been vomiting and I said no. Which is more or less true. We all have the PBing thing going on which for me is about every week and a half. I get amnesia and forget I am banded! She also told me that if it continues to be bothersome that we could have a swallow study, but since I was not throwing up, she was not concerned. I know when I push on my tummy it hurts a little but right now as I am typing this I feel the rumble in my stomach. But gas??!!!??? I am almost a year out!!!!! Should I pursue this or just wait and see what happens. You are right Donali. I am so afraid now. I would be okay of I knew that I was doing everything by the book..... Sometimes I feel that I am not bandworthy!!!!! I just don't know what to do! Birdee
  22. I am starting to get a little paranoid here lately. I have a couple of questions: Do you ladies loose restriction during your TOM? I've been banded almost a year and I have random abdominal pain as well as shoulder pain. Before I was banded I thought that I might have had IBS?!? Not really for sure. I have been abusing my band and I have made a stand to starting looking at my band as a friend NOT an enemy!!!!! I just hope it's not too late! :sick
  23. Beleive it or not. I was wondering the same thing this morning. I would almost guess that your body would take a while to realize the band is not there anymore. I am so happy about your positive attitude!!!!! Even through this tough period, you are still giving me so much inspiration!!!!! Thanks Donali
  24. aww shucks! How are ya!!!!!! I hope things are getting better!!!
