Love it! Congrats on your loss so far!!

    Vitamins!

My program has us take Bariatric Advantage brand chewable and the Multi vitamin is the one with ADEK in the name. We also have to take calcium, b12 and iron I believe. I haven't started them as I am preop. They have a kit set for our program on their website so we just have to select the flavor or the type of calcium. We can take capsules after 3 months I believe.
  3. I will be interested to hear any answers you get. Have you tried adding it to anything else? I have only tried it with decaf coffee with cream and although I could smell it I couldn't taste it. (pre-op sampling )

  6. Someone had posted a link to a list of high protein foods in the last few days - maybe try that?
  7. take a sample pack of protein mix with you or even a baggy of a scoop - you can get water on the plane and mix it then.

    Food Funeral

I have been thinking of making a list of things I tend to think I won't be eating after surgery and the week before my pre-op having the top 5 things on my list. I am doing WW right now so I don't want to be bad now!
  9. I voted too! And it looks like we can vote each day? Can we tell who has the most votes?
  10. awesome NSV's!! What a reward!

    Would you change doctors?

Some doctors just aren't people persons. If you believe in his ability then I say stick with him. I can tell you I saw the counselor, dietitian and physical therapist before I met my doctor, loved them all, lots of encouragement from them. People kept telling my my Dr was rude but when I finally met him he was very nice. His PA came in first and answered most of my questions but then when he came in he went over things again. Honestly, at that point, even if I hadn't liked his personality I would not have changed programs because I know the important people for my journey were nice and helpful. I will see the dietitian much more often than him and she will be the one who helps me work to get where I want to be with my weight loss, as well as the physical therapist. Something to think about!

    Awkward moment

I think I will tell people the same about portion control, etc but think we could get away with my stomach has gotten smaller? hehehe!! I have told my mom, husband, kids, a few friends, sister in law and I work from home so with any luck the fact that work people only see me once a month at the most they will not see the week by week things. If they ask though, I will tell them. My biggest thing is explaining the sleeve - lap band and RNY have a big stigma of failure around here so I don't want them thinking I had those!
  13. I had a nutritionist appointment today and she told me I had met all of the indications and I would probably be Team approved this week! WOOOO HOOOO! Even if I do still have 3 months of my MSWL visits with my Dr and have to be submitted for insurance that is just about it! So freaking excited! I have to see her one more time in late June and that will probably be it for pre-op I also had a nutrition class and learned about the pre-op diet - mine is basically liquids, veggies and a few other things like hot Cereal and apple sauce which is awesome - I wasn't sure what to expect and am very glad it isn't JUST liquids! I feel like post op will be easier to do just because I won't feel like eating as much. I also got a few samples of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury to try so looking forward to seeing how that is! Hopefully well on my way to a July date for surgery ))) :w00t:
  14. Thank you all! I will be starting dry vitamin D later this week.

    regulations?

    That's scary!
  16. GOODWILL!! And congrats on your great weight loss!!
  17. So I am trying to be practical with the whole Protein powder purchases and I am wondering if you bought one or the other which would you choose? I tried the unflavored in my decaf coffee and as long as I hold my nose it isn't a problem. I think it would be fine mixed in to other things such as crystal light and broth where if I get chicken Soup, well I can't imagine it in anything except broth. Thoughts? At this point I am pre-pre-op as I have 3 more visits with my primary doctor but I am trying to get a grocery list together so I can order things in early July before my last visit. Thanks for the input!!
  18. ok I just tried the chicken soup in broth - wow sodium overload! I think I will try next time mixed with just water although I think I am leaning more toward unflavored unjury to keep on hand

    regulations?

I was wondering this also - I was look at all the stuff at wal-mart that says high quality peotein then doesn't have isolate or has a mix - I think I will just stick to the few top ones my hospital recommends.
  23. the whole stomach chat is great but maybe she is excited that you are removing alot of her? like she herself is having a tummy tuck - I can see it now, she will be sleek and skinny!!
