I had to get silicone too.... the piercist should be able to make you up something with a flex plastic wire type thing - It actually looks like the stuff I buy for the whipper snipper

Has anyone had a piece of jewelry that they were unable to remove during surgery? if so how did your surgeon treat it. I have an industrial/tragus earring that I am unable to remove and was wondering if it would be ok to leave in during the procedure,or if i would have to find a way to get it off? Thanks!!!

When is your surgery?
I am awaiting approval from my insurance. But per my patient intake coordinator if approved surgery will be the last week of october or the first week of november....Good luck!!

I'm still Pre-Op but this is a list of the items I am planning to take with me to the Hospital.
1. Insurance card and I.D
2. Cell Phone/Charger/Phone Cards
3. Toothbrush/Toothpaste
4.Deodorant
5.Lotion
6.Lip-gloss (non petroleum based, its flammable and if you are on oxygen its not a good idea)
7.Brush/Comb
8.Hair Clips/ rubber band/headscarf
9.Nightgown (may be difficult with Iv's)/Loose Clothing
10.Slippers
11.Robe
12. Notebook (if you document through journaling)
13.Pillow/Neck Pillow
14.Pads/Tampons (most women get their period right after surgery)
15.Baby Wipes (to help freshen up)
16.Gas-x Thin Strips/Baby Mylecon drops (ask your doctor)
17.Sleep Mask/Earplugs
18.Oasis Dry Mouth Spray
19.Sugar free sweetener/Caffeine Free Tea Bags
20.Small Extension Cord
seems like alot but it will probably fit into a regular sized back pack. Hope this helps anyone that is preop!!!

I read that we should take 500 mg three times a day, taking more than this may cause kidney stones. I also read that we should start with a Calcium carbonate for the first 3 weeks and then switch to a calcium citrate after that. i'm unsure of the reasoning behind it, but i'm going to try it and see

I thought i was alone out here, I was actually going to ask this question today when i came across the post. I have been dealing with this issue for a while too and its really embarrassing and annoying because plucking causes an ingrown which then turns into a scar for me, i'm glad to hear that there is hope.
