No problem with hydration today, things are going down fine thank God! I've been cleared for full liquids but I'm scared to try things to upset my sleeve.

1st post op appt done. Down 17lbs since surgery 5 days ago, and 27 lbs since preop appt on the 15th!!!

1st post-op visit today, getting dressed

Ate about 2oz broth and a whole jello cup today!! Success is measured in small steps

Got home yesterday, still in pain and discomfort but no regrets. Updates soon

I have a DATE!! November 18th, 2011 I will be having my vsg surgery. Pray for me!!!!!!

I'm APPROAVED!!!! Recieved my letter from the insurance yesterday..now i'm just waiting for a date. Thanks for all of your support....i'm beyond excited

Goal for today - Stalk my patient intake coordinator...lol....I'm going to get this woman to call me back regarding my approval......hahahahaha

Welcome, your fears for surgery are 100% valid, but i believe God gives us this feeling to do better for ourselves for a reason,and he will never put you in harms way. Just stay true to your gut (until you get rid of it..lol)

I feel like something in me has "Clicked" today, I am super motivated to get as healthy as possible before surgery so that it lessens my chance for complications. My doctors office doesnt require a pre op diet but i think i'm going to put myself on one. Praying for strenght and that this motivation will last

still playing the waiting game, my patient coordinator actually called me to let me know the fax to my insurance didnt go through so she had to re-submit. its kind of a bummer but I know that great things come to those who are patient, and it will all happen in due time.

So I was watching VSG journeys on Youtube and I cant remember the username but there was a video talking about how to get a 3 month supply of bariatric advantage vitamins, just go to obesityaction.org and click on the "Recovery Program" link, then print the forms and give them to your doc to fill out, they will then send you the supply of free vitamins. This is awesome for anyone who cant afford supplements!!!

OMG i'm so excited,I have been waiting for the doctors office to finally submit to my insurance for approval. And they finally did yesterday. So in 5-14 days hopefully i'll be updating everyone with the Awesome news that I am approved for surgery! If so I am looking to have surgery Oct or Nov 2011. Pray for me!!
