    Sept 2011 bandsters

Bromo & Diva, I also had plication as well and I am loosing fairly well just not as much as I did in the first and second week which is expected. I can only take in a half a cup of food which takes me about half an hour if I chew well. I was eating three times for two weeks and now I am eating five times a day which is still okay being that I can only take in so much. I do feel satiated after a meal and have to wait half an hour before I can down some water.

    Sept 2011 bandsters

Hi everyone, I am two weeks and four days in and lost two pounds this week, for a total loss of 19 pounds, 3 which were pre-op (overnight fast before surgery). I am still walking 30 minutes daily and trying to drink my water. Like most of you I seem to get hungry frequently and learning how to chew chew and chew. I see my surgeon on the 21st when I am four weeks. Have a productive week and good luck to us!

Goodmorning, I as most of you has stalled but I am so happy that I have lost 14 pounds that I will never see again, our bodies are adjusting so now I will weigh in weekly and get in my half hour of exercise daily. Good luck, I am on stage 3 foods from Wednesday.

    Post-0p Weight Gain

Hello, I was banded the same day as you and share similar experience, stalling since Thursday. What I have learned from reading other posts is that the first few weeks are meant for healing and not for weight loss. The focus is to get healed so that we can start implementing the rules that would enable us to function the tool that is the lapband. Granted the weight loss was rapid at first but that is due to Water weight and just the general shock of the impact of surgery, maybe our bodies are slowly recovering and just re-adjusting. Now that I feel much better, I have started exercising thirty minutes everyday just walking around in my living room. Just stay positive and remember this is a journey, be optimistic and keep in mind that it took a while to pack in the pounds and therefore taking them off will require some time, practice and patience. Lots of hugs & Good luck.

    Sept 2011 bandsters

Hi, I was banded on September 21 and I am now a week and four days post op. I have been lurking around since my pre-op and wanted to continue my journey with my fellow September bandits! I am not hungry at all and really detest the taste of protein shakes, since I am on stage two of my post op diet, I have to be creative with my creamy soups which I have mostly at lunch. I am feeling very good and looking forward to mingling and sharing our experiences together. Good luck!
