Jeppy - I can't believe how hard you are being on yourself. You have gone from 390 to 180 and, instead of feeling absolutely wonderful about how far you've come, you berate yourself. You look wonderful and you apparently are just where your body wants you to be. We set unrealistic goals sometimes - I think that is what has happened here.
Enjoy your victory girlfriend & get that chin back up where it belongs!

juliebug got a reaction from Diva817 in November Bandsters!!!
Hello fellow bandsters - I was banded on 11/9/11, so I'm 3 weeks out today and feel fabulous. If you have an experienced surgeon, you have very little to worry about. I did not have near the pain I was so afraid of, tho I did get some pretty severe shoulder pain from the air they use for a couple of days. I started at 267 and am now 241 in a little over 5 weeks. I'm stuck at this weight for about the last week, but they tell me this is pretty typical until your first fill or two (mine is 12/13). Over the last week, I've been walking two miles a day and have had zero pain since about a week and a half out. My doc doesn't put anything in the band when he implants it, so I'm able to eat more things than they told me I would be able to, and more than they told me, which is where I am now - trying hard to remember why I've done all this. Follow your doctor's orders, if you have a family to feed, make sure your freezer is stocked, and allow yourself at least a week to get your bearings. This has been a walk in the park compared to what I had envisioned beforehand - but I'm also very committed to this new lifestyle. AND PRAYER HELPS IMMENSELY. Blessings to you and your journey .
