  1. That's what I was quoted as well. He said it would include everything as well. Hotel, after care, transportation to and from the airport not a bad deal at all.
  2. Since I had surgery I am freezing all the time which is a pain since I live in Alaska. I have always been on the hot side too but since the surgery I wear layers all the time and have extra blankets on my side of the bed. It can be 90 degrees and I am comfortable now where use to I would have been dying. I am now trying to talk my husband into moving to Arizona.

  4. I was wondering if anyone had any luck getting FED Blue Cross to pay for any type of reconstructive surgery? Thanks
  5. I was doing pretty good up until about a month ago. I have been stuck at 176 lbs. I am going to try to get in more water, I think that is my main problem and watch the carbs more closely. It is so easy to get depressed but I am trying to stay positve. We'll see what happens.
  6. I like this idea, think I'll have to try it the next time we do bacon.
  7. I agree with you, with as little as I can eat I don't want have to give up pasta or anything else for that matter, other than soda I miss soda. But I digress if I want pasta I'll have it because I can only eat about 3 or 4 bites anyway.
  8. It looks delish! I am going to have to try it.
  9. OMG! I love this blog. Thank you for the new site. My favorite is fried chicken with mashed potatoes and buttered corn. Oh and I can't forget homemade biscuits with butter. As you can see I really like my butter. Go Paula!
  10. WOW! You are looking awesome. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the next 6 month pictures.
  11. Congratulations, you are doing great. I am sure you will reach your goal.
  12. Congratulations and don't even think twice about those tears of joy, they are awesome! I think we all are more emotional about our weight loss and achievments. I know I have cried with every milestone I cross. I love it though!
  13. I posted this in post surgery but I guess it should have gone here. I was just too excited... I finally did it! I hit the onderland. I have not been under 200 in over 13 years. You should have seen me I had just gotten out of the shower (o.k. well maybe you don't want to see that, lol) and decided what the yeck it's been a couple of days let's weigh and see what it says. I was actually shocked and just stood there. When it finally registered that the scale wasn't broke and not going to move anymore I started crying I was so happy. I got dressed and ran outside to find my husband and it was so funny as soon as he saw me he said "you made it under the 200 mark didn't you" He knows me so well... Anyways, I wanted to share my story and to thank everyone on here for all the support and advise I have received over the past Year. I think I signed up about 6 months before my surgery and was on here everyday it is great to know you are not the only one out there with gas, your hair falling out and all the loose skin but I would not change it for the world. I feel better than I have in years and I know I've added years to my life with this change. Thanks again - Everyone

  15. Daniellec If you go to your home page then click on the top where it says friends it will direct you to a page that says invite friends. Once you click on invite friends you will go to another page were at the top you will see a "find members" button. There you just copy and paste (Lissa912) into the Username box and there you go. Sorry if that sounded confusing. I hope it helps. By the way Lissa I did invite you as a friend.
  16. Well you have come to a great place for support and information. Everyone here is so helpful. You will have to keep us posted on how it goes for you. I know that it can be pretty stressful when you are waiting for the Insurance co. to approve you. I wish you the best of luck.
  17. You look amazing and I think it is awesome that you are in a bikini. I don't think I will ever have that confidence. I'm so happy for you!!!!
  18. Congratulations, that is awesome. I love that you are mentoring as well.
  19. Wow! these sound awesome can't wait to try one or a dozen...
  20. Good for you for realizing your downfalls and getting back on the right track. Everyone here supports you and is wishing you the best. Since I am a sucker for motivational quotes I thought this one appropriate... “To succeed you must first improve, to improve you must first practice, to practice you must first learn, to learn you must first fail.” ~Wesley Woo
  21. I haven't had a soda in over 7 months but the other day my husband got a fountain drink (pepsi) and it was so cold and it had those tiny little bubbles popping up off the ice that I couldn't help myself just one sip. Well that's all I took! Holy Cow! I could not believe how much it burned my mouth and tasted like syrup. I guess after so long without it now it's just too much. I still crave it once in a while but I'll stick with my Crystal Light fruit punch on ice, of course.
  22. Congratulations!!!! I know that is so exciting for you! I am at 215 and can't wait to hit under the 200 mark. You should celebrate and buy yourself something.
  23. I'm about 31/2 months out and have been able to eat salad just fine. So far I've tried spinach and ice berg toppings normally are tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives and shredded cheese. I love it and it taste great but I can only do about 4 bites and I'm full. It's funny I just told one of my co workers this morning that I don't really crave sweets but I do crave salads even more so than meat.
