    Sample Menu

Daniellec If you go to your home page then click on the top where it says friends it will direct you to a page that says invite friends. Once you click on invite friends you will go to another page were at the top you will see a "find members" button. There you just copy and paste (Lissa912) into the Username box and there you go. Sorry if that sounded confusing. I hope it helps. By the way Lissa I did invite you as a friend.

  8. Good for you for realizing your downfalls and getting back on the right track. Everyone here supports you and is wishing you the best. Since I am a sucker for motivational quotes I thought this one appropriate... “To succeed you must first improve, to improve you must first practice, to practice you must first learn, to learn you must first fail.” ~Wesley Woo

    Sprite

I haven't had a soda in over 7 months but the other day my husband got a fountain drink (pepsi) and it was so cold and it had those tiny little bubbles popping up off the ice that I couldn't help myself just one sip. Well that's all I took! Holy Cow! I could not believe how much it burned my mouth and tasted like syrup. I guess after so long without it now it's just too much. I still crave it once in a while but I'll stick with my Crystal Light fruit punch on ice, of course.
  10. Congratulations!!!! I know that is so exciting for you! I am at 215 and can't wait to hit under the 200 mark. You should celebrate and buy yourself something.

    I Want A Salad

I'm about 31/2 months out and have been able to eat salad just fine. So far I've tried spinach and ice berg toppings normally are tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives and shredded cheese. I love it and it taste great but I can only do about 4 bites and I'm full. It's funny I just told one of my co workers this morning that I don't really crave sweets but I do crave salads even more so than meat.
  13. Getting excited about going camping with my family next weekend!

  14. Sleeved on 2/9 and as of today down 56 pounds. I've had the flu for two weeks at the begining of May so I think that helped some. I feel great but can still only eat about 3/4 of a cup of food. Is this about average for everyone else? Most of the time it doesn't really bother me but there are times when I do wish I could eat a little more.

    Straw Question

I was advised not to use a straw right after surgery. It's easy to suck up to much air, That wouldn't feel good. I did start around my second month using a straw and testing to see if there would be any issues. I haven't had any problems with taking in to much air or feeling bloated. Now, at 3 months out the majority of my fluids are drank with a straw, to me it feels like I can drink more by using the straw. I use the insulated cups that come with a lid and straw, I have a ton of these. Lara
  16. Getting over the flu. This is not how I want to lose weight.

  17. Woke up and it was 15 degrees. I really want spring to get here!

  18. Was sleeved on Feb. 9th. so far down 43 lbs. I started out at 268 and now I'm 225. Not as fast losing the weight as I would like but I didn't gain it overnight either.
  19. I would love to get an invite to the FB group. I like the idea too of it being Jan, Feb and March sleevers.
  20. Sleeved on February 9, an early Valentines gift to myself.

    Is It Just Me?

I was just talking about this yesterday. I have the hardest time getting in my fluids. I hate the taste of plain water (more so since the surgery) so I use the sugar free Crystal Lights. Even then if I get one bottle down with a protein shake during the day I am doing good. I know I need to drink more but it seems like it takes me forever to drink one bottle I can't imagine how I'm suppose to drink 4 a day. It seems like work now drinking has become more work than anything because I'm always thinking about when I should be drinking not that I want to just I need to, to get in my daily amout that I'm suppose to. Plus the whole no drinking 30 min. before and after you eat messes me up because there are times that I will be thirsty but know that I am going to be eating soon so I don't drink then something will come up and I won't be able to eat at that time either.
  22. WOW! You look awesome. I hope I can have these results. What is your workout routine?
  23. Today is my 2 month anniversary and I am so happy that I went thru with the surgery. I have been truly blessed that I haven't had any real complications. I have felt bad a couple of times but nothing major. I am down 37 pounds, depending on what time of the day I weigh. food still isn't that big of a deal to me. I eat so little that I don't really count calories or keep track of carbs. I do eat my Protein first then vegtables then last I go for carbs. I still have a hard time getting in all my fluids. I feel like I am drinking all day and only getting about half of what I should be. I try to do a little better each day, some days are better than others though. Overall I feel great and can't wait to see what the summer brings, I am finally going to be able to go on a bike ride with my daughter and not worry about passing out. Anyone else 2 months out? How are you doing?
  24. This is awesome, can't wait to try some of these. I love that I will now have an excuss to get a massage. Thanks for putting this all together!
  25. I understand completely; yogurt, mashed potatoes go down real easy. When I eat meat though I can only do a couple of bites and I'm full. When I first had the surgery I thought something was wrong because I could eat mashed potatoes with no problem. I remember thinking did they do the surgery correct because I shouldn't be able to eat this much. Yea - that all changed as soon as I started eating meat. Now if I get in 3 bites of meat and a couple of vegies I'm doing good. Congratulations on your success, you're doing great. you'll be eating regular food sooner than you think. I know it seems like forever during the soft mushy stage.
