Hey there!
I'm about 19 days out and I'm back to solids.
for example yesterday:
Breakfast : a cup of black hazelnut coffee, whole wheat french toast (half slice) made with egg white and skim milk, and 4 apple slices
Lunch:Chorizo sausage sliced thinly about half the sauge and one egg white w/ peppers
Dinner: Korean beef Stew w/veggies
Snack: 1 hard boiled egg
I try to get at least 6 glasses of Water a day the 8 can be difficult
Total calories: 1138
39lbs down 134 more to go!!!
Everyone is diff. I 've heard stories of things getting stuck in the band. However I havent had probs with anything getting stuck as of yet.
I live in Korea at the moment so my options are limited but I use the lapband app for Ipad, it has a lot of great recipes as well as the AllRecipes.com app. I also use www.myfitnesspal.com to keep track of my calorie intake.
I wish you the best of luck!!!

Hey there!
I was bnaded on the 29th. I live in South Korea . I'm 18 days out. I'm actually moving back home to the states in 9 days. That 20 hr flight is going to be hell, but my Dr. says I'll be fine. I'll drop you a line if I have any complications. Good luck!

Hey People!
II haven't got clearance to head back to the gym yet. The doc says another 2 weeks. I didnt believe it myself when he said 39 lbs. Until I took a pic. I live south Korea so my food options are limited. I cant wait to head back stateside in 2 weeks. When I was on mushies I was drinking Protein shakes, smoothies and a lot of tomoato Soup. It's day 18 my doc put me back on solids but Im taking it easy. Usually a scrambled egg, a tiny salad. Or a quarter of chkien breast with veggies and soup. I have a childsize cup/ plate set that helps me gauge the portion size and a child's Korean lunch box for when I come to work.
I have to say I'm feeling good. i get my first fill this week. I'm excited and nervous. I'll keep you posted.
I blog at least every other day. If you have a blog please share!
Good luck everyone!

Yeah it's totally normal. liquids dont stay in the pouch very long they funnel right through. no worries! Once you get to mushies you'll feel less hungry.
I try to give an accurate account of what the process is like. Check out my blog : www.muffintopmoxy.blogspot.com
If you have more questions feel free to ask. I hope I can help. Good luck
Hi, Congrats on your weight loss, im so new to all of this, i had lapband done on tuesday 10/11 and im feeling really hungry, im doing my broth and clear fluids, is this normal that i feel hungry ?

Hey people! i just wanted to give a shout out to my fellow lap band newbies. I'm 2 weeks and 39 lbs down I didnt see it.
Friends and co workers were saying how good I was looking and it just didnt hit me until I tried on a pair of jeans I bought 10 mos ago. When I was dieting. And here I am two weeks out able to fit them So for any of who are struggling or dont see result yet. Please don't get too discouraged. We're all in it together!
Sending love and positivity you way

I was a little nervous because Im 8 days out and 20lbs down. My Dr assures me it's fine and not to worry. My incisions are a little sore, especially by my port! How are all of my fellow Sept Bandsters feeling? I'm a little tired. Cant wait to have more Protein in my diet.

so Im officially banded people! I stayed over night. I'm still at hospital. Gotta love Korea for Wifi in your recovery suite.
I'm a little sore. But I have to say I'm not feeling the gas arm pain everyone was talking about. I guess it varies from person to person. I'm up walking around, just ready to be discharged at 3. How are things with my fellow September 29th Band buddies?

Hey there people!
This is my first post! I'm so glad I found all of you kindred spirits here on LBT. I will be banded on the 29th. Ahhh Next thursday. I had a random dream the other night where my band tried to burst of my abdomen Alien style and started talking to me about food choices. So it's safe to say that I'm feeling a little bit of the lap band jitters. I currently live and work in South Korea. After two yrs of being an expatriate I'm moving stateside in 6 weeks so I'm sure band management will be a bit easier. I look forward to chatting it up with you guys! Fingers crossed for next week!
