Hello! I also have BCBS Federal and I asked the bariatric coordinator which weight they send in and they told me that they only weight they send to insurance is my weight at my initial consultation. Do you know if that's correct? What was your experience with this? Sadly, I do not have much confidence in these people
I am right over 40 BMI. At my nutrition assesment I was right at 39.9 BMI (she made me take my shoes off of course...). I start the 3 month diet next week.

Thanks so much Dert for sharing the pictures. This makes me feel a lot better. I know losing the weight is priority and people talk about how the scars should not matter but to me they do. I am very fortunate to have no stretch marks and I did not want to have a large two inch scar on my stomach. Yours are very small and look great! Thanks again for sharing!!!

I hope to get the band in may, I'm almost finished with all of the insurance requirement. I was wondering how bad the port scar really is? I've heard many different opinions regarding the scars. Is anyone willing to share any pictures?

You aren't alone! I was sleeved on 10/16 and at my one month post-op visit i told my doctor i wish i could have been sedated the first week after surgery!!
It is really tough. I drank 0 Protein Shakes but i used Isopure flavorless Protein Powder in my drinks and Soup. Everything had to be at room temperature. My stomach hurt. It does get better. By the third week it's like someone flipped a switch and I had my energy back, soreness was gone, and i was 20lbs down.
Goodluck!
