  1. Kimber and scurry...i.am back to 195 having upped my exercise to 5x a week from 3 and trying to refrain from fruits. I cannot look at bread without gaining weight. I cant believe either of you touch it, rice, crackers or even rye krisp which i understand is horse feed.
  2. Good luck. I can't cope with carbs. I refuse to let them tempt me to try. I'm tired of losing the battle So i am walking away from it
  3. Scurry that's us in a nutshell! We are carbaholics and there us NO rationing when they are around. And we act irrationally in the presence of spaghetti. I smother onions and mash cauliflower season and eat the whole damn thing in one sitting cuz it's my potato substitute
  4. All that work and a few lousy carbs kill it. I'm sorry for your dilemma. I would give one last try to ditch the carbs...no pasta bread crackers rice fruits and substitute beans, kale, onions, mushrooms.carrots peppers cuke and cheese...yoghurt...steak ..chicken and those rotten ice pops and lousy water...thats why I hate having the sleeve. I did not lose a single craving but I have not given in to the carbs since Dec 2011. Make some.protien dips for the veggies. How much did u actually gain back?

  6. Scurry ...what ARE u eating? I dont understand how u can be in starvation mode and gain. Can u cut out everything e xcept protein for a week?

  9. I have always said i am eating only good healthy food. BUT U HAVE TO STOP EATING ALL OF IT. That habit respects no restrictions and i doubt i will ever forget to eat. Right now had 3 year follow up and weight is 4lbs up from last year. They were not upset about it and thought i am doin well. Next fri will see if i have a polyp in my throat. Am freaking out abt that. The thing thats there is responding to atavan! Weight was 195.6 this a.m.
  10. Yee. Being fat was an automatic excuse for not being responsible for my life. I miss having the excusr and miss being excusably irresponsible.

  12. Thanks, vanessa, we could be twins in determination and grit. I dont stop either but i do modify. No more tread mill but do elliptical cuz of ankle. And, yes, the stretching DOES help. Im very surprised. Working out 3x/week with trainer does NOT stop this muscle creep from happening. OTOH i did avert very bad cold with zinc, vit c, and umcka. I think the vit.c makes sense since we dont gobble citrus fruits any more. The zinc? I dunno. Usually these colds startbout as upper resp. And develop into bronch asthma. This time, first time, so far no asthma. Still limited stamina but need to wait til april before changing T3 and T4 meds. No patience here!

  14. Thats what I do NOT understand. I struggle harder because im older, have a ton of difficulty with arthritis dont take pain relievers and was just dx'd with piriformis syndrome. OUCH. Wt 197.8. Damn

  17. Im still bouncing around 200. Contacted Nut. Found my T3 is low so added cytomel but still tired and still triggered by evening...emotions...boredom...and still eating only 'good' stuff but eating it all. Im proud ofbwhat ive done for me...accomplished this year, loved being 188. Hate my weight and obsession with it. Happy new year, guys.
  18. Viiki I have the same prob. Im almost 200 again. Scared out of my mind. I do not have bad food in the house. I have everything good for me. But I eat all of it. And it's the habit thats the problem...not what we are eating. No advice. Need it myself

  20. My weight did not shoot up after taking it to lose 128 lbs. It rose gradually because I had to stop exercise. But getting vsg stopped all such meds.
  21. Gets me thinking how nobody vets the members here and we dont know if we are talking to bonafide sleevers or wannabes. But we are fairly anonymous here so its a good set up.. maybe a caveat would be in order: please check neuroses/psychoses at the door
  22. Daisy...u said it. But my brain is always screaming at me just like before the sleeve and before the pills. Before I step on the scale I think of a weight and its always 100 plus what I am. So I feel like I dodged a bullet in the morning. I am pleased to be fighting 194 rather than 428. Of course. Yet someone told me I look gorgeous yesterday. My hidden reaction was ro put up two hands and block out her face. My brain started screaming :hahaha u ate those ice pops and it doesn't show. Hahaha u ate the Soup and no one knows. So of course when I got home I ate like a pig. Now there is where they need to develop surgery or some draconian medical procedure that will be a real cure. Therapy , in so many different flavors, has not helped yet . I've been at it since im a teenager.

    19s69 glad u rnt beong bull headed like i was. Cant recall being black amd blue but if so, u will likely forget abt it all too soon. Just stay open to the new life experiences u are bound to have...and try to enjoy it while u r having them
