  1. I so badly want to lose 15 pounds by June 5th. If I pull this off it will mean I've lost 100 pounds in 6 months time!

    Dimple/hole/dip Incision On Stomach

I had the same thing. It goes away. Mine was the size of a tennis ball! There is a picture of it in my gallery if you want to take a peek. It went away pretty quickly though.

    Baby Food

Personally, I thought the baby food was gross. There was only one flavor I could stand, I think it was chicken tetrazini. The fruits are okay (I actually buy the bananas as a snack and have done this for my entire life!). During your soft stage I really say greek yogurt is the way to go. You can add sugar free puddings to it to give it a nice flavor. I don't do the flavored greek yogurts because they are lower in protein and way higher in sugar. Good luck!

    Pregnancy Vs Wls? Please Help.

I'd go for the baby first. I'm 27 and if I was with someone to have a child with and had to decide between baby and surgery, I'D HAVE GONE WITH BABY!! Now, my mother was an overweight woman when she conceived my sister and I. During both pregnancies she ate healthy (and dealt with morning sickness the whole pregnancy) she left the hospital weighing less then when she got pregnant. She lost 50 pounds with my pregnancy and 90 with my sisters. She didn't keep it off obviously but hey- ya never know!
  5. I'm 5 months post op and still can't handle plain water all that well. I drink a lot of Propel.. A LOT of propel! Black Cherry is my favorite. And the easiest/laziest strawberry lemonade ever can be made by dropping a few sliced strawberries into the lemon flavor.
  6. Haven't done a video in a few weeks. Figured I'd share these struggles for anyone else who may be experiencing them too! <3
  7. My first post op meal was a crab leg with a tiny squirt of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. I could barely eat one whole leg (granted it was a claw leg). Crab legs are VERY soft so I would think that as soon as you are put on soft foods you can enjoy them!

    Late Periods?

I had a period every two weeks the first three months post op. Prior to that I hadn't had one in 3 or 4 months due to PCOS. I started using NuvaRing a little over a month ago and things have finally gotten back on track. I haven't kept track of how many days between cycles, but I know a few days after I remove the ring I get it and that's good enough for me. No chance of a baby right now anyway!
  9. Starting Diva's bootcamp today. It would seem the easy loss time has passed and now it's time to get to work!

    College Students

I was sleeved 12/5 and some how made it through my finals, had a two week break and right back into another full time semester on 1/4. That's on top of the 50 hours a week I work and travel time. It is hard, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry a lot. When I wasn't working or doing school work I was sleeping as for me it was more important than working out. Around the two month mark my nut had me start to eat fruit again and that changed everything for me with my energy levels. I made it through the semester and did it with a 3.541 gpa! Good luck to you!
  11. Sleeved 12/5/11 and aside from the exhumation the first two months no complications. Since surgery I've lost about 72 pounds. I'm currently in my second stall I can eat just about anything, but I do have to be careful because I can get some wicked heartburn!

20 Ways To Tighten Skin After Weight Loss

I'm gonna weigh in here as a SOMEWHAT professional. And by professional I mean I studied skin in beauty school and worked for years doing said wraps and scrubs. For the most part, time is your best bet with loose skin. It is what it is. Avoiding tanning will help with the appearance of aged skin (which is loose skin) in the years to come- that's just common sense. The wraps/massages/scrubs all accomplish the same thing. They stimulate blood flow which in turn allows things to heal better/faster. And really- loose skin is sort of just skin that needs to heal. Some things heal better than others. Remember all those skinned knees as a kid? How many scars do you have from it? How many faded away? Your skin healed OVER TIME! These suggestions have worth. The one I think I disagree with the collagen lotions. A lotion may moisturize but it's temporary. Things that will really nourish and strengthen hair, skin, and nails are nutritious foods and lots of Water.

What Did You Wish You Knew Before Surgery

Wow, I'm so surprised no one has mentioned how COLD you can get! Something about the surgery and recovery.. Sometimes at almost 5 months out I still get chilled to the bone and it takes HOURS to get over it. I wish I had been better prepared for that. I tell EVERYONE to have an electric blanket waiting for them at home. I came home from the hospital on a Wednesday and that Friday I had my father drive me to Target to get me a blanket. Also, I experienced SEVERE exhaustion for the first two and a half months. When I spoke with my nutritionist about my diet and energy levels she suggested adding two servings of fruit a day. Within a week of starting that I was feeling more like myself. Those are the two things I wish I had known about most.

    Does Size Matter

My sister and I were having this discussion this morning. My bougie size was much larger than what I find most ppl on VST have. I was a 44 or 46 I believe.. Since December 5, 2011 I've lost 71 pounds for a grand total of 84 pounds lost. Sounds like my larger bougie is working just fine! I asked my doctor why he uses that size and he said he has found that with a slightly large bougie there is less chance of heart burn issues developing. A few weeks ago I was having a lot of HB issues, I'd hate to see what it would be like with a smaller bougie!
  16. Just realized I am more than half way to my surgeon goal of 160!!

    Confused Over Weight Loss

I am four months post op and find that there are days that still happens to me, such as from yesterday to today I've lost 1.7! Movie Snack Suggestions

I've had popcorn several times since my surgery because I am/was a popcorn addict. I limit myself to one of the 100 calorie microwave packs a week and only if I've been good during the week with exercise and eating. I may catch heat for this comment but, I had surgery so I could eat a little of everything I love. I know a lot of people won't do that until after they are at goal, but I don't want getting to goal to be miserable so I allow myself to enjoy some popcorn. I'm prepared and willing for whatever consequences there may be from my eating it. Good luck
  20. Glad to see you are doing so well. How have you been?

Seriously Im Outta Control! This Might Be Tmi

Enjoy it girl. I wish my Mr. Motorcycle lived closer because this once a week thing ain't cutting it!
  22. Being that I am only 4 months post op I'm not trying to get pregnant just yet, but PCOS and fertility are the biggest reasons I chose to have WLS. I can tell you that in these 4 short months I have noticed a lot of improvements with my PCOS symptoms and I am A LOT happier!
  23. In the first three months post op I had 6 periods. It was annoying and draining, but I was and still am so thankful to have them after not having one for so long prior to surgery because of PCOS. Remember they are a blessing! *Shriek, I know, I know...*
