  1. Well, after the weight gain with the band, my total BAND weight loss was like 30 lbs. I have only had the sleeve for 10 days, so........I can't answer for it. I can already tell I am much happier with the sleeve than the band. Since my pre op diet, and post of diet thus far I have lost 17 lbs.
  2. I have never heard of the Switch. I had the lap band for over a year, and recently converted to the Sleeve 10 days ago. I was VERY disappointed with the lap band. I did great with the band for the first 6 months. I had lost about 40 lbs, then I had something get stuck and it was downhill from there. I was constantly seeing the doctor as things always got stuck. It seems with the band, once you had an issue, it was downhill from there. I gained weight. Spent lots of money going to the doctor to have Fluid let out, then even more money to get fluid back in once my stomach "rested". My advice.....don't do the band. I know it works for a lot of people.....but the sleeve has been great for me thus far. The band was a nightmare.
  3. I am a week out, and I never felt bad. I was amazed that the lack of pain/discomfort. I was a conversion from a band to the sleeve. My stomach has been sore, but I was up walking all through the hospital after my surgery and haven't stopped. Returned to work last week and it is like the same ol stuff. I have gotten hungry a handful of times, and am battling my love for food, as the liquid diet has been tough for me. I want more and am ready for substance. I can't quit thinking about food. Is this normal? Currently I am eating applesauce and tomato soup....and have caught myself eating more than 4 oz.......I didn't think that would be possible.
