  1. How is everyone feeling? I am well... just taking it day by day. I am not feeling banded. I mean, I can eat pretty much what I want, (sticking to the rules of corse) I have only ate too fast once and I ended up paying for it all afternoon. My stomach hurt and I felt like I needed to burp really bad. I have my first fill scheduled for the 12th of Oct. and I am sure it is going to be different after that. Just wondering how everyone is doing! Hope all is well!

  2. I was banded on 8/31 as well. Still have gas pain in my shoulder and back. Was finally able to sleep in my bed somewhat normal without sitting up lastinight. Feeling better every day. Funny thing is i dont feel hungry AT ALL. I have stuck to the Protein drinks, broth, Jello, Water..etc...My biggest problem right now (besides the shoulder pain) is Constipation. Have not gone # 2 since before surgery :/

I have not gone either. I went and got some laxatives today. Hopefully it will take care of itself tomorrow.

  3. Oooh, you get mushies Thursday? I am jealous - my doctor's program calls for 2 weeks of liquids post-OP. I don't mind it so much, and I am filling up just fine, but I am looking forward to more variety.

I think I am going to make a big pot of split pea Soup today, and then freeze a bunch of single servings in my little tupperware bowls. I love split pea soup... mmmmm. That should help get me through the next 10 days. :)

Yep! Can't wait for the mushies! Woot. That sounds so good to me! oatmeal, bananas, oh, so many choices! I have been living on popsicles, Jello and my favorite that is a real filler has been cream of chicken and mushroom soup. CANT WAIT!:P

  4. So I obviously didnt read my docs pre op diet instructions all the way! He wants 2 Protein Drinks a day and 3rd meal is Soup. Then there is a small list of drinks and Jello etc that I can have. So I bought a few differnt drinks to try out and see what I liked. I bought Boost, Slim Fast, and Ensure. So at the bottom of the page it said that the drinks need to be 200 cal or less, 20 of Protein and less than 10 caRbs... None of my drinks fit that description. Anyone got one out there got something that falls into that catagory???? Thanks!

Muscle Milk Light has 150 cals and 20 grams of protein. They are pretty filling acutally.

  5. Good Morning everyone. LOL... it's actually noon. Um I have been sleeping a lot, which has helped with my recovery I think. Feeling much better this morning and am moving around a lot easier. Still full of gas. Haven't had a BM yet, so it's off to the store to get a laxative ;) . (tmi-i know) Did a lot of walking yesterday. Anxious to start eating the mushies Thursday. Sooooo wanted to eat a bowl of Cereal this morning. :( Getting by on popcicles and Soup. Try the cream of chicken and mushroom soup. It's really thick and fills me up. AND it's yummy too! Back to work tomorrow. It's going to be a change there. For the most part, people know that I have been banded so I think they will be more sensative to not offering me food that I don't want or need. Husband has been super supportive and I am glad I have him to lean on. Looking forward to the positive changes coming in our lives! Hope everyone is doing well and feeling well. ~Shannon

  6. So, this is day 2 post op. Felling better today. Gas pains still there. I had a really good sleep last night. I think that helped a lot. It was nice to be back in my own bed. I was a little hungry last night and had some Tomato Soup. Working on a Protein Shake this morning and not really feeling hungry at all. Anyone else feeling scared to eat? I don't want to over do it and get nauseated. Took a shower this morning. ahhhh. The only pain I am having is in the port area and going from a sitting to standing position and vice/versa. Thanks for all your thoughts everyone! :)
