  1. I'm glad that you ladies addressed this! My BF is sooo worried I won't have my hips/thighs/butt anymore, after surgery, LOL I just want it all to decrease a whole lot! I'm so looking forward to being healthy that I really don't care about my curves (as much as my BF does). I'll let him know that I should be just fine :D

  2. I have another appt on next week, 9/29/11. dry.gif I have to see the NP. He's going to basically see if I am progressing with losing the 20lbs required for surgery. I have been eating right (small Breakfast, decent lunch, and a Protein Shake for dinner). My daily calorie intake is 1200 or less. I have lost a few inches (yay for my hips), and a few lbs.

My next appt w/ the surgeon is 10/27/11, and hopefully, I will be 20+lbs lighter! :D

  3. I just bought this from Coscto this weekend! It tastes really good! FYI: I haven't been sleeved, yet. Still waiting on my date, and trying to lose 20lbs :)

I am 8 months out and doing great, 85 lbs down and off all meds. Had problems taking the BIG multivitamins pills. Diffidently did not like the gummies.< /p>

Tried Liquid Centrum, and that was good and very affordable. Now I can't find it any more at the local Walmart.

I prefer liquids over the pills. I am now taking ReViva High Potency Multivitamin Complete Nutrition Tropical Burst Liquid.

It taste good and seem to working for me.

Is anyone familiar with ReViva Liquid Multivitamins.

    Continued Thanks,

    Lash

  4. Yeah, it is all required...I was just feeling down because I want this done- yesterday! But, after a few days of thinking, I know the delay is best! I have started on my pre op diet, and I'm looking forward to my new lifestyle changes!

I do think I am an emotional eater :( Good, bad, sad, happy or glad- I want to eat. I'm looking forward to the class, now to help me find other alternatives to eating at every emotion.

Thanks, again, for the encouragement! I needed that :))

  5. I'm gonna get the chop sticks! I like that idea! Thanks!

Congrats on your date!!! Here are a few things that have helped me out:

    1. Coffee/candle warmer - you can get it from Michael's

    2. Make your favorite chicken Soup, drain everything off and freeze the broth. Believe me you will get tired of the sweet Protein Drinks. You can mix up the chicken/veggie and other stuff in your blender for when you are able to eat mushy foods.

    3. Small bowl, get a pretty one :D [to fit on your candle warmer] you will be eating alot slower after surgery and this way your soup/mushies/food can stay warm.

    4. Chop sticks - I got hot pink ones-I use them to help me eat slower-it really works!

    5. Pretty coffee cup with a lid to fit on your candle warmer.

    6. Pretty water bottle to keep your cold liquids in.

  6. Hi, fellow VSG members! I am on this journey for the second time. I started this process in 2009, but chickened out due to all the nay sayers (you can lose w/out surgery, that's dangerous, you're taking the easy way out, etc, etc, etc.). Now, i am following though because I NEED/WANT to! If i had listened to my doctor in 2009, I would be at a healthy BMI and wouldn't be on all these meds and machines, today  But I listened to all those people who don't have medical degrees.

Anyways, here I am, following through to a healthy ME! I want to be able to enjoy my upcoming Fab 40's, and see grandkids one day.

I have had all of my appts, including those w/ the NUT. Unfortunately, I haven't lost any lbs  But I haven't gained any lbs, either :D I hope that doesn't stop my surgeon from giving me a surgery date.

I have an appt at Kaiser on 8/31/11 to see my surgeon. I'm praying to get a date, then! :D
