  1. Yay Liz! Glad to hear you are doing well! Keep us posted on your journey.
  2. Yes, lemon works great and use the crystal light, I put about one third of the normal amount in, just for a bit of flavor and it worked great. They have a lot of good flavors too, my fav is grape, reminds me of grape bubble yum from my childhood!
  3. Oh yes, they itched...and I had staples so no way I could actually itch them. I had the staples out after 2 weeks and the itching stopped, maybe the steel in the staples was the culprit? i used neosporin after as well, works great!
  4. Welcome back! It is better to be in a good place mentally so dont fret. April is coming soon....
  5. Lol! That is sooo funny Stephanie, I am about 35 lbs from my weight on mine! I did actually weigh that amount but gained since I have gotten a new license. Yay to you!

  8. I didnt bring either. I just stayed i the gown till the next am when they started taking iv's etc out then I put on a big tee and a pair of loose yoga pants.
  9. It is completely normal to be nervous. You both will do great, look at all the positives! Best of luck to you both and keep us posted.
  10. I was sent home with a 6 month prescription. Never had it before but I sure notice if I forget to take one! Get the rx from your doc, it is waaay cheaper if you have good insurance. ( prilosec by the way)
  11. We are only one day apart! I feel exactly the same way on all points you made, including stabbing the husband with ice picks sometimes...lol!
  12. Woo hoo! Sounds like you are doing great, keep up the good work!
  13. Yay! I am glad you are doing ok. You sound just like me, I was up walking 1 hour after getting to my room, it felt soooo good to get up. Laying there made my back hurt. I did have the dry mouth too and yes, the morphine happy button was nice! Welcome to the losers bench!
  14. I can take normal bites as well, no issues but I best chew it well. I can eat anything, spicy etc, sleevie doesnt have any issues with anything ...yet! She lets me know when she is full!
  15. Yay MsDebi, you are doing great. Dont feel bad, I had to look it up, I had no idea what nsv meant either!
  16. Wow! What a transformation...you look amazing! Keep up the good work!
  17. I tried the Bimbo toasted bread, double fiber and it is yummy. It is super crunchy and I use it for egg salad, tuna etc. They have another one but I havent tried that one yet. I bought it at Wal-Mart so I would think it is carried in any grocery store.
  18. Welcome! You will do great. Keep us posted on your progress!
  19. You just made my day! I did the same thing! I now just weigh myself in the am, naked right before the shower ( TMI, sorry) I was amazed how much clothing weighs and yes, the liquid we are drinking is waaay more than you would think. Thanks for the post, you made me smile!
  20. Best of luck to you on your new journey! I can see you are ready, I was the same way, sooo excited, nervous etc but I would do it all over again in a heatbeat! I am 1 month out tomorrow and feeling fab! Keep us posted, I know you will do great with your positive attitude!
  21. I am not eating that much yet but everyone is different. If I get a sharp pain I know I ate too fast or too much so maybe you are eating too much at one time. Cut it back a bit and see if that helps. I have been drinking milk since week 2 so I am sure you can. Good luck to you! BTW, I was eating eggs at 2 weeks so give it a shot.
  22. Never had any fatique, my energy has been amazing. Just got lucky I guess. Just keep up your protein and water and walk as much as you can, you will be amazed how quick you will feel better. Good luck!

I had a few drinks at about 2 1/2 weeks out and didnt feel any different than I would have before surgery. I had them over a course of 4-5 hours so maybe that is why. I just sipped them ( vodka/cranberry) with water as well. I dont think every once in a while will hurt but I am sure they dont want you to drink because of the empty calories like everyone else says. Your body will tell you when it doesnt like something for sure.
  24. Yes, had a drain but they took it out the next am before I left the hospital. It was no big deal tho.
  25. Lol! I have them too! I dont know of anything that helps, if you hear of anything , let us know. If I hear of anything I will post too! How are you doing since surgery? Loks like you had yours a few days before me. I am doing great, no issues whatsoever.
