  1. Hit the gym pretty hard today! 10 minutes on the bike to warm up, at a much higher speed than I use for cardio, then worked my muscles to failure on the weight machines. Feeling pretty good right now!

  2. Okay, after an EKG, blood work, 2 chest xrays, and being felt up all over. NOT half as fun as it sounds, btw! I have been cleared of a dx for blood clots. Matter of fact, my heart is in better shape than it was a year ago. :) The suspected blood clot is probably a pulled muscle in my calf and the shortness of breath is from pulled muscles in my abdomen. I'm the one who preaches slow but steady and apparently I didn't listen to my own advice. So now I have a doctor approved/presc...

  3. Off to the pulmonary doc. I have a possible clot in my right leg. Scared!!

  8. Okay, so I've been KICKING BUTT on the bike lately, to the tune of 7.5 miles in 30 minutes! See my earlier comment about loving my own ass - it's getting SWEET! I can also walk 4 miles on the treadmill. I decided to do some moving things around this afternoon that resulted in my having to walk about .7 miles home on a paved road...no problem, right? Yeah, no problem my aching thighs and calves! Apparently walking isn't as easy on real roads as it is on the treadmill...

  17. Arms are sore, but I finally made the scale move!! My clothes are ALL too loose, but that darn scale wouldn't budge until this morning.

     

    I am definitely seeing fast results from amping up my workouts. I wish I could let you all feel my biceps and thigh muscles!!

  18. I wanna know how many calories I burn doing housework. I have stripped and washed every bed linen here, dried them, remade the bed, gone to wally world for groceries (walked the store twice for grins and giggles), assembled 3 lamps, crawled under the tables to plug them in, then back under the tables to figure out why they weren't working, to the bank, washed dishes, vacuumed, put dishes away, up and down the steps to the outside probably a million times.   19. OMG!!! Just got 20 pounds closer to goal!!! Saw my surgeon today and finally remembered to ask him about a goal weight. His answer is 190, my number is 170. He says I'll bee too thin at 170 since I'm 5 feet 8. So, I am officially halfway to goal!!! :)

  21. 70.8 pounds gone as of this morning. That's 20% of my body weight from start of my pre-op diet and 38.9% of the weight I want to lose to get to goal!!
