Status Updates posted by Lissa

  1. 70.8 pounds gone as of this morning. That's 20% of my body weight from start of my pre-op diet and 38.9% of the weight I want to lose to get to goal!!

  2. Arms are sore, but I finally made the scale move!! My clothes are ALL too loose, but that darn scale wouldn't budge until this morning.

I am definitely seeing fast results from amping up my workouts. I wish I could let you all feel my biceps and thigh muscles!!

  3. Okay, so I've been KICKING BUTT on the bike lately, to the tune of 7.5 miles in 30 minutes! See my earlier comment about loving my own ass - it's getting SWEET! I can also walk 4 miles on the treadmill. I decided to do some moving things around this afternoon that resulted in my having to walk about .7 miles home on a paved road...no problem, right? Yeah, no problem my aching thighs and calves! Apparently walking isn't as easy on real roads as it is on the treadmill...

  4. I think I finally broke this stall. Lost 2.2 pounds this weekend... AND got into a smaller size!! :)

  5. Still having issues with possible gall bladder problems. Still super busy with the new business. :) Still losing weight!! :)

  6. How bizarre is this? I've slacked on exercise this week and my weight loss has increased! Not sure if the stall is broken or if slacking on exercise (some) has made this happen! I see my goal in sight..less than 60 pounds to go! :)

  7. After I posted my update this morning, I moved some furniture around, emptied my storage unit, and did some housework. Boring, right? Yes, it is, but it's exciting too. I have MY LIFE back! The sleeve has done that for me! If I don't lose another pound after today, I got what I wanted. I can DO anything I want or need to do without pain and without being exhausted from merely walking! Thank you, God, and Dr Domkowski!

  8. Today I start training toward my white belt in mixed martial arts. Not sure if I'm going to go for the female standards (25 girl push ups in 2 minutes, 25 sit ups in 2 minutes, 1 mile run in 8 minutes) or the male standards (50 regular push ups in 2 minutes, 50 sit ups in 2 minutes, 2 miles in 16 minutes). Upper body strength is the problem for me, so the push ups are the hardest part. I found out a few days ago that I can pretty much pass the yellow belt requirements without a problem, b...

  9. Breast biopsy is NEGATIVE for cancer!! Thank you for your prayers!! :)

  10. So sorry to hear that! (((Hugs)))

  11. Shoot! I thought I'd updated here. Results of the CT Scan are the I may possibly have kidney stones instead of gallbladder issues. Everything is on hold until I have another GB attack. No surgery for now! Praise the Lord!! :)

  12. I need to shout out a big thank you to Alex and VST! I'm thrilled that I won the iPod Touch, especially as I was looking to buy one soon!! :) Thanks again!!! :)

  13. My house was hit by a tornado today. I wasn't home. I'm safe, and I luckily didn't get a lot of damage. I also have awesome neighbors!!!! :)

  14. Gallbladder FINALLY removed yesterday! This time it all went smooth as silk. :) I'm already relieved of the constant pain I've been having for months on end!!!! YAY!!!

  15. Workout ONE done today. Hit the gym for weight training. Workout TWO will be pure cardio! Go Me!! :)

  16. I'm looking for someone in pensacola for a one-time job opportunity. It's a mystery shop, but it's pretty lucrative. Anyone interested?

  17. Arms are sore this morning from all the weights I did yesterday. Today is brought to you by abs! :)

  18. Arms are sore this morning from all the weights I did yesterday. Today is brought to you by abs! :)

  19. Hit the gym pretty hard today! 10 minutes on the bike to warm up, at a much higher speed than I use for cardio, then worked my muscles to failure on the weight machines. Feeling pretty good right now!

  20. Workout One done for the day, 30 minutes of cardio on the bike. Workout Two is scheduled for 9pm, another 30 minutes of cardio on the bike. In between, housework, clean out the car, and a little bit of money-making work. Can't ask for much better than that unless I was sitting at the pool with a cabana boy fanning me! :)

  21. My status as of now is this: I am scheduled to have my gallbladder out on January 25, 2013. My surgeon says that my risk of having similar problems again is nil. :::deep sigh::: I trust him, but I'm still scared. Between the follow-up appointments to make sure my heart is okay, work, and daily stress, I'm taking a break from a lot of things right now.

  22. Just checking in from Ringgold?, GA. I've been at my family reunion for a few days, but thought I should say hello to everyone. I'll be home tomorrow and should be back in action the next day! :)

  23. Off to the pulmonary doc. I have a possible clot in my right leg. Scared!!

  24. Second workout of the day finished! I didn't make 30 minutes, only did 10, but that's pretty good for someone who has a major cold right now! Weights tomorrow morning, more cardio tomorrow night. :)

  25. Workout One for today is in the bag! Kicked butt on the weights and didn't sneeze once! Take that you nasty little cold!!! :)
