I recently came off my liquid diet. I lost weight. Now I am eating regular foods ( most) and have gained back some of what I lost on the liquid diet!! I am not eating alot and stop before I'm actually full. I will not get my first fill until approx 3 more weeks! I don't understand why I'm gaining when I'm eating only small amounts. HELP!! What can I do till I get my first fill??? Is this what "bandster hell" is??!! Totally sucks! I have a very demanding job and can not stay on liquid diet a day longer cause I feel way too weak and tired. Any suggestions??

I'm newly banded and wanted to know if I'm going to feel the same feeling when full or are there other clues???

Thanks for all the responses. I am dealing alot better with my sleep. I can now sleep on stomach for a short period of time. Not as comfortable though cause I am also sensitive in my port area. Sleeping ALOT better though!!!! THANKS

The band was my first time having surgery and being put to sleep. That was on 8/19/11!! The surgery is not that bad. I dont even remember it. When I woke up I was confused and unsure if it had been done already or if it was about to happen. I don't feel the band. Stomach soreness has just now subsided and I am exactly 1 Wk post. I just feel a small amount of discomfort in my abdomen but wouldn't call it pain anymore! I do feel the port also.

No it doesn't feel like someone is on my chest. Kind of feels like I'm swallowing alot of air or something. It just comes and goes, I don't have to be eating or drinking anything for it to happen. Idk. I need to have a good burp feels like but I just can't do it completely

6 days post op. I'm getting this weird feeling. Seems like it goes from my throat to deep In my stomach. Kind of feels like alot of air. I'm not exactly sure what this strange feeling is. Maybe it could be cause I still having a little trouble burping really good. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Jachut, how long have u been banded? Im still in the very early stages, judged banded 8/19/11. Do u feel "normal" with your band? I've heard some people only being able to eat like half a cup. That doesn't sound like much even if u r banded and have a fill....

I am soooo glad im not the special case cuz I am super hungry as well. I was banded on 8/19/2011 and on day four I was getting hungry. I followed post op Liquids till an hour ago! My stomach was growling and making all kinds of noises, felt very weak and tired too. Today was also my first day back to work. I just had to eat! I stuck to soft but just could not do the liquid for dinner. Such torture. I'm ready to be a few months ahead in the process so I can feel normal again!

I am 6 days post op and wondering what are some things that I can do to cause myself less trouble once I start eating real food. I do not want to get sick or do anything to cause me unnecessary troubles. I already know that I will not be able to drink AND eat... Oh oooh. Gonna be a hard habit to break. Big is there anything else???

Sorry to hear that. I am newly banded as of 8/19/11 so I can not offer advice in regards to your weightloss and sickness troubles Where are u located at? There are dr's that u can go to that can help u with your band even though they were not your surgeon. I agree that u should have it looked at under fluoroscopy. It's like a real time X-ray. They will be able to see your band and the amount of restriction u have by giving u some chalky stuff to drink and seeing how it flows to your stomach. Hope things get better for you

Def sounds like appendicitis to me. Get back to dr. U don't want it to rupture if it is appendix.

Became a banded chic 8/19/11 yay!! Still having slight discomfort. What were some comfortable ways to sleep? I generally sleep on my stomach but feel the port and some pain if I do that now. I have gas issues right now too. Maybe a way to alleviate some gas while I'm sleeping... Any and all suggestions

I'm newly banded as of 8/18/2011... What are "slider foods"?? I am sooo ready for this journey and to put my tool and butt to work.. As soon as I get clearance from my dr of course.

Glad I found this thread! I am four days post op. Having alot of gas pains and just feel weird in my body. Incisions are not too bad. I'm just now actually starting to feel hungry ; though it's not much. I have my first dr's appt tomorrow and I'm back to work on Thursday. Hope all this gas and discomfort is gone by then... I just want to feel"normal" again!

Thanks. My surg was 8/19. Today is the best day thus far BUT this gas Is getting to me. I can't wait to feel normal again. Im starting to feel hunger now too:(.I have my first check up with my surgeon tomorrow and go back to work the next day.

Was wondering if anybody else had alot of gas present. This is very uncomfortable to me and I think it is bothering me more than the surgery/inscisions.
