  6. My surgery was on a Wednesday and I was back to work that Monday. I too have a desk job, but walking to the printer down the hall was helpful.
  7. Each Doctor is different, I could eat till about 2 hrs before fill and then liquids the rest of the day. I had this done yesterday and am on regular food, doing good. Definitely feel the restriction just like right after surgery.
  8. I had my first fill yesterday. For dinner (which was about 2 hrs after fill) I drank my Protein drink and could only finish half of it. This morning I had 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and after the second bite could really feel the restriction. I never could finish a meal in the 20 min I should....until today.
  9. You will here this over and over so I'm sorry to repeat it...WALK...i had a couple bad episodes and I just walked...walk your ass off. It will go away, for me it was day 7 that I finally was more comfortable.
  10. I had that feeling but only the first week it was like an alien in there just moving around. Everytime I would move from side to side, mainly when trying to sleep. I've never been pregnant but I would say that might be what it feels like lol. Good luck to you
  11. Its so you do not dilute your food and are able to eat more then you should be. It was near impossible before the band. As soon as I was banded it is not normal to me. I just dont bring a drink with me when I eat dinner or I dont ask for one at a restaurant.

  13. I get this sometimes, I chalk it up to I just ate to much. I'm still learning to eat slower...I've done that a couple times and get full before my cup of food is up. If i eat faster I get the shoulder/neck pain.
  14. I had the same thing happen to me...I drank MAYBE 8 oz in a day for 2 days straight. I got worried so I forced myself to drink more but it goes away and you get an apetite again. My first mushie was cream of wheat and I tell you it was heaven. Good luck!
  15. I too am 3 weeks post op today...the first probably 1 1/2 weeks I felt full fast. Now I can definitely eat more then a cup if I tried. Last night I had a stuck episode and was so pissed at myself because it was my fault. I got cocky and didnt chew like I needed to. Got my head back in the game today and will never trail off the road again. My port sticks out a little...definitely can feel it, skin is itchy today and port site is sore. Being over 300lbs i never thought I'd see my port, especially at this time...maybe just still swollen. First fill is next Tuesday looking forward to exercising more soon just so I can feel better about my journey. Good luck!
  16. Thank you b-52...I know my body went through a lot, just wanted to ease my mind.
  17. I'm 2 days post op...gas pains where bad yesterday but not to bad today. The thing that hurts the most is when I take a deep breath...its sorta like something is pressing on my chest is this normal?
  18. ditto from above, I received my date about a month before I was approved.
  19. As you know everyone loses differently so I can only tell you my experience so far. Today is my 8th day on the pre-op diet with 4 more to go before my surgery on the 15th. To date (starting Feb. 3) I have lost 12lbs. I'm not going to lie it has been tough. I have 6 people in my house I cook for and having to do that while I sip my Protein shake is without hesitation a struggle. HOWEVER, I have fought through it, and with great support form friends and family and daily readings from this forum I'm still in it! I write a journal online through google and it helps. Writing what im eating, what I'm feeling is not only helpful for me now but in the future. Below you'll see a link if you feel like reading a bunch of rants lol GOOD LUCK!!!!
  20. I am on a liquid diet, however, I can have 4oz of meat and 1/2 cup of veggies. I usually eat backed chicken and carrots. Seeing that your only going to do it once and its something that is a protein and veggie I wouldn't think that would harm you. If you had stated you wanted Burger King then my response of course would be different. Good luck!
