This is the best thing I have ever done for myself and my kids!! I'm down 60 pounds and feel great. I've had zero complications.

Would love to chat and hopefully be able to provide lots of support and answer questions!!

Please feel free to PM me!!

  4. Sorry if some folks are offended.

I was in no way trying to one up anyone.

I agree that we all lose at a different pace,

I have battled it out, had a few really stubborn stalls and had to adjust Protein levels and restrict many " good foods" in order to get back on track.

Again, I was just checking in and sharing a bit of happiness, not trying to be offensive

  5. April 24 here, 3 month Anniversary

Im now down 59 pounds. I look and feel great.

People comment every day how " skinny"

I am. Yes, just 3 months ago I was squeezing into size 16 jeans and wearing 1x shirts.

Today I can wear a size 7 jeans and a medium shirt, sometimes even a small!!

    Now wearing size small scrubs!!

I can't wait to see how I will look in 3 more months at my goal weight!!

  6. I weighed in today at 173. I'm no longer considered "obese"

That is the best feeling ever!!!

Only have the last 25 pounds to go.

To make Labor Day Goal, 8 more pounds.

I hope it comes off easy, I have increased my Protein to atleast 70grams and it works every time!! I lose a pound or even 3 every day.

Today is my 3 month anniversary!!!

    Woohoo

  8. They are awful!!

I tried them pre op and it wasn't horrible, but I tried them post opnot pretty.

I take gummies all the way!

I take Gummy Calcium, gummy Vitamin D, gummy Multivitamin. It's actually tasty, I look forward to my " gummy treats" Ha

So glad they made them. I get mine at Target, they are pretty cheap, and then I get reimbursed from my FSA too!!

  9. It's so true that your tolerance changes after surgery. It's not so much taste, it's what you can tolerate! I'm 2 1/2 months post op, I can't handle any type of powder Protein. I have tubs of it, but poor sleeve knows when I try to drink it!!

I find the RTD shakes nice and very manageable.

I actually love my EAS rich dark chocolate shakes!! Just ordered 10 cases of 4 packs from Walmart.com, they shipped it to my house for free!

  10. Christine

I asked my surgeon's coordinator who she knew of that understood my needs,I made an appointment with him, and it's been wonderful.

I really like him and his office staff!! I do miss my old Doc and his MA, but I had to do what is best for me. Maybe you can also ask your insurance company for a good referral?

  11. Well everyone will be different, but Im 2 1/2 months post op. I can now drink( not sip, sip)

From my sport bottle with zero problems.

I adore ice Water and can now manage a good swallow of it! Right after surgery I couldn't even handle the taste, let alone sipping it. I thought, oh man, I don't like my precious water!! Yipes

But now it's all good. I can drink my yummy EAS dark chocolate shakes too. I have noticed my lack of being able to handle gritty or powdery stuff. Can't hack Protein powder or chewable Vitamins, yucky

But I can take my gummy vitamins and Gummy Calcium with no trouble, and tolerate the EAS RTD shakes just fine!!

  12. My Doctor of 13 years has told me for the past 13 years,Im not a fan of WLS. So this last time in July of 2011, I asked again..... Long story short, I have an awesome new Doctor who actually supported my choice, now Im 2 1/2 months post op and 48 pounds thinner!!

Don't take no for an answer and keep on until you get the support you need!!

Good Luck* fingers crossed for you*

I'm 2 months post op, it went down with no problem. Funny thing, that one piece was all I really needed, I was content!

I might try it again soon:-)
