  2. Okay! 1st off dont travel cross country with two babies under the age of 3 LOL!!!

in the morning im not much of a eater... so i have a shake. The shake powder i buy is from Walmart its by BODY FORTRESS "super advanced whey protein" I have only tried chocolate and its OKAY not great but i really dont care. i blend it in the blender to make for easy mixing i mix the powder with GREAT VALUE (walmart brand) LIGHT original soymilk organic.....

For lunch i eat ROASTED chicken breat again from walmart. Its over by where they fry foods its already made little chickens.. i eat about a 1/2 cup of the chicken and most days i eat any GREEN veggie with it to fill me.

for dinner... dinner is hard for me at this point in the day i feel like i could eat everything and the paint off the walls if i could! lol

i eat turkey breat all white meat or again chicken... there are nights i do them in a salad with just lemon juice on of dressing...

im not a good menu person really. I pretty much hate food now.

i am a big night time snacker and what i go to is waffer Cookies and 2% milk a whole a cup.

i cheat all the time which sucks but its life and i dont kick myself i just go on with my day

WORKING OUT SUCKS even more LOL

i "jog" on my treadmill 3 to 4 times a week i do walking for 3 mins at 3.0mph then i up it to 4.5mph for 2 mins... for 30-45 mins

i do free weights i have no idea if i am doing it right but i do it LOL

i hope this helps someone and now that i am home feel free to ask me more i am up front and honest....

the best comment i have gotten was from the hubby...

he said to me that when he hugs me he can get both arms around me and clasped his hands!

that made my whole day =]

feeling good was im sure one of the main reasons you did this for you and your family FEEL IT GIRL =] its good ;)

  4. few things here

Is it bad just to drink Protein Shakes 3 times a day ?

I have only been doing it for 2 days now I feel fine. I wouldnt say i am full I am starving but i get thru it... I have somewhat good will power so far...

How long can i go on 3 shakes a day?

im intake of cals never go over 600 thats what my doctor told me 600-1000 per day

i am losing pretty good 35lbs in 2 months....

on a side note I had to put my scale in my husbands car so that i didnt weigh myself like 50 times a day LOL

I want to wait a whole week so that if i do lose it will be more of a surprise ....

  5. Thanks Corrigan, you always have all the answers! :) so how are you doing I see your progress!! Good for you! I will def keep an eye on it.....Kinda got scare there, matter of fact still I am but I will stay positive! Cleaning the wound with poroxide and adding alittle bit of ointment keept it with gause. (sigh)

I had the same thing. plus some clear liquid as well. i got the same meds as you. saw my doctor after taking VERY good care of it. He REOPENED the outside stitching and i had a 1/2 inch hole exposed. he told me to pack it with gauze and clean it with peroxide 2 times a day...... i had to do this for about 3-4 weeks. Im just now all healed up and doing just fine.

wash your hands really good before taking care of it. any gauze or qtips you are using to clean please keep it in a plastic bag if you store them in your bathroom. you would be grossed out to know how many grems are flying around in your bathroom.

Just take care of it really good and you will do just fine!

  6. i broke down the other day... the night before my 1st fill.... i ate 2 slices of pizza.............. yeah thats 700 cals just for one "meal" if i can call standing infront of the fridge stuffing my face that! I was so mad at myself. Do you think it stopped there.... NOOOOOOOOOOOO 3 fun sized bars of chocolate.... REALLY.

    everyone goes thru this...

I even asked my husband and txt my mother "should i have some pizza" both said why not you been good"

i know its not worth kicking yourself over but it still sucks!

HANG in there get that darn candy away from you! put it on someone elses desk!

  7. I agree with the Protein for your healing. Also, do as the doc instructs, keep it clean, wash your hands any time you have to touch it, even if you are wearing gloves. Also, signs of infection would be a fever, redness, pus or pain at the site. I'm sure you will heal up just fine. Just monitor yourself closely.

    Arlene, nurse from Boston

THANK YOU!!! you'all are making me feel MUCH MCUH better thank you!

  8. i was banded 9/16/11 and my port incision and one net to it is not healing! the other 3 smaller ones have healed great!

my doctor REOPENED my incisions today to get a fresh start on healing again. on the port incision i have to pack gauze INTO the wound to soak up a clear liquid that is in a "pocket".....

has this happened to anyone at all.... my doctor said there is NO infection just not healing like i should....

if anyone has been thru this please let me know ur story..... im very scared.

  9. I thought I would post my story here in the hopes that this would keep someone from making the same mistake I did.

I had my surgery in February of this year. I didn't hit the 'sweet spot' until the second week of May. Since then I have lost about 55 pounds.

I am an occasional marijuana user. By occasional I mean that I will smoke whenever I want for one month out of the year. I do this because I am drug tested frequently for my job, but I have the summer off every year (no, I am not a teacher). In the past I would smoke during the month of June, then quit with a solid 2 months between me and my next drug test. Most literature about marijuana use states that 30 days is the maximum time for your body to process the detectable THC metabolites that are detected by urine tests if you are a chronic every-day user, and/or overweight. Because THC is stored in fat cells someone who is overweight may need extra time to get rid of the toxins. I left myself 2 months every year just to be sure, and I never had a problem with failing a drug test.

This year I took my test after abstaining from marijuana use for 8 weeks. I failed the test.

I can only assume that due to Lap Band and not being able to eat very much my metabolism has slowed down drastically and 8 weeks was no longer enough time for my body to get rid of the toxins. Another reason could be the fat loss was reintroducing the toxins stored in my fat back into my blood stream, although from the research I have done online that seems a little less likely. Either way, the result was the same. I failed my test, and now I am in danger of losing

    my job.

I am still waiting to find out what my employers will ultimately do about this, but regardless what happens, I will never ever use marijuana or any other illegal drug again. I was stupid to do it in the first place, but years of getting away with it had made me complacent.

I hope this information will help someone else not have to go through what I am going through right now.

    GREAT POST THANK YOU!
