RbL7FB got a reaction from okiekatt in It's Been A While, But I'm Back, And Alive....
Your slip... are you talking slip and fall or your band slipped? Seizure activity comes from the brain, not the stomach.... if you slipped and fell I can imagine that... to have repetitive seizures is a toughy... maybe from your left lung being infected? or inflammed? what do you mean by engulfed?
Glad you are feeling better though...

Quit watching the scale.... also change it up a bit... dont do the same exercise and change up your meals... your body adapts to things then maintains. Also, you were just banded so you are not even in the green zone yet, it will take a few fills and A LOT of frustration till you get there. Just go with it and trust what you put in your mouth. Have faith and you will get where you want. I lose 5-10 lbs right away then will stay the same weight for a good 3-4 weeks, it does not mean I am failing, just need some minor changes in habit or re-evaluate what I am eating and what exercises I am doing. Also, may want to increase your work out time. For most people, the first 20 min of workout gets you warmed up. You need to look into 35+ min of cardio workout and maybe some light weight training; it burns MORE calories.

RbL7FB reacted to Toddy in Restriction
I almost posted a similar question this morning. I'm going for my third fill today and really, really hoping to feel something. So far the only way I even know I have a band is if I eat too fast I'll get stuck and have to bring the offending food back up. But if I eat slowly and chew really well, I can eat just as much as I want. I'm really hoping that "restriction" means my appetite is seriously decreased!

I've been all over this site, and as much as I enjoy reading the stories that all of the ladies share, I've noticed that guys are few and far between. Just wanted to stop in and say, "hey". It's good to have some people that I can fully identify with.

For me it was all about the Drugs!!!!
What I mean is, I was happy as a bug in a rug, snuggling into my Lazy-Boy recliner with a heavy comforter, plenty of Water, some broth and then ice tea, and my TV remote control.
I took all my pain killers right on time. Didn't miss a dose!
I was happy (and zonked) to stay right there for 24 - 36 hrs following surgery, and heal!
THEN I started climbing the walls and just had to get out of the house. But that's another story.

I've had it happen to me a few times also. Each time was because I did something stupid in which I should know better.
Last time was at an Outback Restaurant. My Son ordered coconut shrimp. I grabbed and ate just one.
Coconut Shrimp! What was I thinking, or not thinking I should say. Have you ever seen one of those things? Every banded person should easily recognize that as a "Do Not Eat or Else" food.< /p>

RbL7FB reacted to elcee in How Do I Deal With The Gas In My Core After Lap Band Surgery?
The gas is not inside your stomach/digestive system so things such as Gas X will have no effect. The gas is within the body cavity and lodges in all sorts of strange places - take the painkillers that your surgeon has prescribed - they are there to help you.
