  1. I also tried swinging arms in windmill fashion and that seemed to help a bit for me. For Nausea and stomach pain associated with surgery, hot tea with a bay leaf worked great first 3 days post op.... Pain will go away, takes time...
  2. had my first fill today... up until today I had noticed that as the days went on I was more full with less food. Had 3cc put in under fluroscope and I could see no fluid passing with 4 cc in band. 1 cc removed and able to drink fluids. guess we will see what happens by next month.

I still have some slight pains left over from the gas...try walking around more often, moving arms in a windmill fashion.. found what helped the most for me, why I dont know, was hot tea and I added a Bay Leaf to the tea. ... BTW Gas x typically will not work... The gas was not injected into your organs, but around them to expand your abdominal cavity. I was banded about a week before you... still learning but for the most part when you feel the slightest feeling of fullness STOP, I have had a few times where I finished my "drink" and I thought I would explode from fullness. It will not take you long to notice, drink slow and take your time...
  6. Just be careful... drink what you can and take your time drinking... your stomach still swollen and it may be a bit uncomfortable to drink liquids. In short time you will notice you are drinking better and feeling better. Took me about a full week to be drinking a sufficient amount of fluids.
  7. I have found posts for everything except immediately following surgery! Was banded 8th Nov, with hernia repair. Seems to be healing as expected and advised. But EVERYTIME I sip water or drink any liquid I feel air bubbles escaping, sometimes very painful, almost like water delayed in getting down. Is this normal, or is there issue?

    POST OP GAS

    2days post op and mild relief is achieved with heating pad and bay leaf tea. It seems to work well
