I was a little confused to that question too! Orally! Seriously? How does that happen if it's inside the body ? Strange question!
I'm glad I know where my Band will be!

I'm sorry you are experiencing difficulty! I know that you can hit a plateau and it may last a couple weeks, however I have heard that you can increase your calories by Just a little and it should start moving the scales again. If you are doing too much exercise the body is using muscle to systain itself, do I have been told!

I brought the LB w/ Plication up to my Surgeons assistant and she didn't even know what it was. I will Jane to tell her more.... My Q is:
When they fold the stomach in half how is it held, sutures?

My sleep study was the vest part of this whole process . NothIng better than a good looking guy strapping wires all over your body-!

Alot of overweight people have sleep apnea or sleep disturbances and don't know it. They like to rule that out or your insurance may request it for Bariatric surgery!

Bc when you do you will feel the ill effects of it and that isn't fun at all- dumping, pain, PB-ing! U will feel when you cant eat anymore! Think of this as a headstart! It will be better in the long run! Lots of people on here say they wish they had done this earlier. The negative stories are the one reaching out for help bc they haven't followed the rules precisely and the success stories seldom get told!

Same here so I just record my exercise and weight progress!

That is so awesome for you!

The next couple days might get a little more difficult so be prepared. You know the scab always turns ugly before it goes away and gets better.

Great idea Cindy! Yeah I dread the winter months! That's kinda why I am hoping to have my surgery in Nov cuz then I cant eat that dinner, I'll still be on liguids!

I agree with most of these posts, while I have not been banded yet, I believe the Band is the best for me. I'm not interested in losing weight fast but to get to my healthy point and stay there. That's where I think the Band will help me the most. My Dr keeps trying to talk me into getting the GBS but i have made up my mind. The rNy and the GBS makes you lose instantly which increases the chNces of gaining weight back again. The reason why is bc the muscle mass and skin do not have time to catch up with the rapid weight loss. There is alot more muscle mass lost as well. That I learned from reading 4 books on all the types of WLS. I've done my homework. The band offers restriction and maintenance. So while u have to make the choice that will best fit you, I wish u luck in your upcoming surgery! Personally, I chose the LB!
