    I thought it was gross too but honestly its not as bad as it seems. I puree soups with canned tuna or chicken. Or even meatball with marinara tastes like meat sauce.

    So im 3 weeks post op and just wondering. Does anyone else feel tied to food? For example In the sense of I dont want to study in the library cuz I have to eat every 2 hours and I don't feel like bringing all this food. Or id rather stay home cuz its just easier to eat a spoon of Peanut Butter here then in front of people. Maybe I'm just self conscious but this is getting kind of weird for me. I don't mind bringing the shakes and making those which at school kind of is a hassle but how do you guys do it if u have a long day? For example I work 11 hr shifts, my school days are 9+ hours, and I also volunteer. How do I take all this stuff around.

  5. I'm only 3 weeks post op and I'm doing 80-90 g of protein per day but I'm already noticing more hair loss than normal. I have really big curly hair and when I wash it now I get two big handfuls of hair. So depressing I just wear it up in a bun for now. Hopefully it will grow back soon with tlc.
  6. Last night I did half a can I broccoli soup half can water and a whole can of chunk light tuna. Threw it in a blender and heated it. It was the perfect consistency and it was delish. I had it for 2 meals. I was thinking about salmon as well but I know sometimes theirs little bones in the can so I was leery.
  7. I did clear liquids only 3 days but it was a lot of diff broths. My dad would make a stew and I would have the broth from it. Chicken and veggies in the crock pot then skim the fat off. Same for cabbage and corned beef soup. Also au ju sauce is really delicious. Try diff varieties of crystal light or diet snapple, watered down apple juice. Hope that helps.

    Did u talk to ur doc? I was cleared for cardio after my first week they told me to take it easy tho. But after week 6 all restrictions are off for me. That's just my doc tho.

    Being tire and fatigued is very normal you probably want to try and stomach more protein, or broth or just something else to give you a little more energy. Hang in there!

    1200-1500 Calories...really?

    I'm 3 weeks out now and I passed out today. I called the doc and they said its cuz I'm not getting enough calories. I'm at about 500 cal but I still get in at least 90 g protein plus all my liquids. In still 70 lbs above goal they say I should be at 800-1000 calories a day now.

    You ARE making the right decision, this is for your health and happiness. Its a tool that you have for the rest of your life to manage your weight and keep it under control so you can live at a healthy weight and get rid of the excess fat. Think about all the positive health benefits you will be gaining.

  14. I just thought of another. Being able to sit in the desks in an auditorium classroom without being uncomfortable !

    Calories

    When I went for my 1 week check up the nurse explained I should be eating 800-1000 calories. I don't see any way this is possible I've been trying for the last couple days and I can only get up to about 600 calories. I drink a Protein shake in the morning that's 185 cal with lactose free milk. Then 4oz apple juice that's about 130. For lunch I have another Protein Shake 100 cal. Then dinner I do refried Beans about 60 cal and another protein about 110 cal. This whole daily calorie intake is 585 and I'm stuffed! Just with this im at 70+g protein pushing almost 60 g carbs. Sometimes I'll do sugar free Popsicle or Jello but that's only 15-30 calories. What else can I have that's low in sugar and carbs but has some calories. I'm extremely tired. Thanx for any input.
  17. I cannot wait to go the amusement park and not stand in fear awaiting if I will fit in the dreaded seat or not!
