In pre-op waiting to go in to surgery. Oh my am I nervous!! Please pray all goes well!

I just want to say good luck to all of you having surgery tomorrow morning! I will most certainly have you in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day! The start of a new life!!!!!!!!

Wendilou, can I join the party? Lol I am on April 18th! I am soooo excited but freaking out that something will get in the way. I have already been rescheduled once (to my advantage). To top this off, my surgery is this Thursday and I missed a call this evening from my surgeons office. They didn't leave a message and were out of the office by the time I called back. I am SO worried they're going to have to cancel. I apologize that I'm posting freaking out, but I know only people who have been there/are almost there would understand my "pre-op craziness"! Hahaha You all are so great! It's so comforting to read all of your posts!

Oh that's awful, but still so exciting!!! I hope everything works out for you!!

Anybody out here have IBS? I'm getting so nervous for my procedure this Thursday that mine is flaring up something fierce and I'm in so much pain. Anytime I get very nervous or excited mine gets triggered. If you have any suggestions (since I can't take my normal meds) that would be fabulous! Until then Im going to go through my routine of curling in a ball on my bed with a heating pad on my belly.

Thanks ladies. You are easing my fears a bit. I guess I am having some "worst case scenario" kind of moments. I'm so nervous and excited that I'm afraid all my excitement will be for not. I just can't wait to wake up from surgery and move on! Lol

Oh wow! I can't even fathom how upset I'll be if that happens! Glad to hear you made it through to the rny side though! I haven't had any real problems with my band-- other than getting things stuck. I haven't had heartburn since I got it and never really experienced anything too awful so I'm hoping that means I don't have a ton of scar tissue. At this point it's just praying that God will bless me through this whether I get it or not (I'm just secretly hoping I will! Lol)..

My surgery is this Thursday and I have been fine up till now... Holy moly am I a bundle of nerves all of a sudden! I keep worrying that something isn't going to go well and my surgery will get canceled or I won't end up with the bypass. My latest fear is having too much scar tissue under my band and having to wait till it heals to get the bypass. I will be absolutely devastated if I wake up from surgery simply band less. I understand this would be for my health, but it would kind of feel like I had the procedure for nothing. I'm so scared. Please pray all goes well these next few days and in surgery. I'm so nervous that I can't focus on anything else. I just want to get to Thursday, have my operation, and know its all done. No band, have my bypass, and on to my new life. I don't know how if handle having to wait even longer.

I was on the fence with my first procedure as well. I went with the lap band because it was less invasive. Needless to say I am here now and getting revised to gastric bypass this Thursday-- can't wait!!! I alway advise people just go for it and do the whole shebang! Lol I regret the time and money wasted with my lap band so much! Finally I'm on the right path!!!

My surgery is 4/18/13 as well! Gosh, I am so nervous and excited! I hope you do amazingly! It's so surreal!

I actually woke up feeling much better (I also had a clear chest X-ray day before yesterday). I have a feeling my throat was reacting to the change in temp outside. It went from hot to cold in one day. This chubby girls body was not a fan. Lol

OMG! My surgery is a day after yours and I am feeling the EXACT same way! I never get sick! My throat hurts, glands swollen, and I'm achy. I'm so worried!!! I hope you feel better! It's almost time!!!

Oh. My. Gosh! My surgery is in ONE WEEK!! I can hardly wait!!! I'm soooooooo excited! All of this and I'm finally here! There is NOTHING left for me to do except get my home ready for the down time. This has been a long time coming and I just can't wait to meet the new me in a year or so!! : D

Get it girl! That's fabulous! I am so jealous! Lol my surgery is next week and I was wondering about sex. My fiancé and I definitely enjoy each other.. Even down to just massive tickle sessions every day. We're very flirty with each other and I was a bit worried about being out of commission. Haha more for me than him! I'm sooooo excited to see where our sex life goes when I'm thinner. We're both heavy now so we out positions are sadly limited.

So my surgery date got moved up to next week. This, of course, is going to make work even more challenging on my coworkers cause we'll be short even more staff. Since I am the youngest and having an "elective procedure" the way they are treating me has gone from bad to worse. It's getting to be unbearable. I find myself hiding in rooms doing busy work just to stay away from the snarky comments and questions. It's like they think I need reminded EVERY TIME I talk to any of them of the fact that they're going to be so short staffed. They just don't get it. It was next week or 6 more months! I've waited almost a year! I don't want to wait 6 more months cause the doctors schedule is booked! I'm trying to "just not care" and remind myself that this is for me, but having to work so closely with these people is making me miserable and so sad. I'm not even excited for my surgery.
