I have used the gas x strips says to use 2-4 at a time and I have had success. My surgery was 9/1 , and as far as the walking... it really does get the gas moving and out. I was just walking around in circles in the house but yesterday I ventured to the mailbox (1/2 block away) and I swear I was a tooting mess for a 1/2 hour. I am amazed as I watch TV how many food commercials are on the TV. I find the Jello, popsicles and borth do fill me though. I don't worry about how many popsicles I just have them until the growling subsides. I am down 11 lbs so for since Thurdsay. Planning on a double walk to the mailbox now. I hope you feel relief soon, and yes YOU ARE WORTH IT!

Hello all! I just found this site, and I am so excited to have you all to talk with as we go through this process together.
I am scheduled to get banded on Thursday, 9/1. I am currently on day 6 of my all-liquid pre-OP diet. It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be, but wow, I pee ALL the time.
Good luck everyone!
We have the same date, one week from today. Exited and nervous at the sane time.

Hello Anyone!!!! I'm Cara! I have found coming and looking on these boards are great support and valuable information. I'm in the process of re-educating myself on nutrition.
I'm 36 and a full time working mom. I teach first grade on Long Island,NY. I have 2 amazing children (a 3 and 1 year old) and a great husband that supports me in my lap band journey.
Looking for someone who will help me get through those tough dark times (I'm sure I will have) and I'm not a bad cheerleader if u need some motivation or hoorahs for victories! I'm only 5 days post op but if anyone is interested hmu (hit me up)

I see you have your surgery tomorrow. I am so excited for you. Got you in prayers and look forward to hearing from you .
My surgery is tomorrow morning and I am getting really nervous. After reading over your posts it has reminded me that this is the best thing for me and I will be so happy in the end. I am worried about pain but I know I can get through it.

I will be banded on September 1st so looking for support and someone to share the journey with. I have not been told anything about the pro op diet. I actually have my pre op day on August 30 and get banded on September 1st. I hope they let know me know anything I need to be doing soon. My BMI is 32 so I am opting to pay for my surgery with a combination insurance because of the hietal hernia. Congratulations to us on choosing to make a life sytle change. Look forward to your suppor
