Can extensions really hide the thinning hair on top?? From my pcos Im getting really thin. I thought extensions only made hair longer and thicker in the body not helped on top. I'm all for it if I can hide it.

I have the same issue. I know what you are going through. I just bought a top piece from wigs.com
It looks really cute. However it clips in to the little hair I have up there.
I am thinking of ordering something more like an actual wig.
Where did you get the concealer from? My hair is so thin I think it would be very noticeable.

I just bought a top piece from wigs.com. It has 3 clips and so far everyone loves it and can't tell.
I had thinning hair for years prior to surgery and was sooo thin up top.
I feel so much better about myself and can actually wear my hair down.

Nothing until 1 year out

Well I think it depends...I am just over 2 weeks out and my surgeon has me on a 600 calorie limit until I get close to goal (I consider my surgeon fairly strict). It took me a while to reach 600 calories tho.
Some people I see are further out and eating between 1000-1200 calories daily. Not allowed for me....
I would just concentrate on staying hydrated and maybe clarify calorie limits with post op visit.

It is driving me crazy...I had hubby hide the scale this morning before he left for work.
After I saw the gain I was about to toss it in the garbage.
I know its just a stall but with me being a higher bmi I figured I would lose a little bit faster
than I know.
13lbs lost is gone forever!!

So I am just over 2 weeks out with surgery on 12/7.
I am on mushies finally and I have stalled....
I did take measurements before surgery and I know I am losing inches but the scale is not moving.
I did not have a preop diet and my BMI at time of surgery was 49.
When I got home I lost all my Water weight pretty fast and was back at surgery weight within two days
and then I would weigh myself several times a day and always see it dropping so fast. It was exciting!!
I know I should not weigh several times a day it was just so fasinating to see it drop after all these years.
I have been stuck for roughly a week and then now I have gained 2 more lbs. WTH??
I had a great recovery with being able to drink and eat with no issues. I do feel restriction with mushies.
I have a 32f bougie. I am tracking my intake.
Anyone else have a stall this soon after surgery?
-
Mine was much less than expected. I had my gallbladder out in 09 and I was cussing up a storm right out of recovery. When I was in recovery for my vsg I don't really remember much although I must have been funny cause the recovery nurse was laughing as I was talking to him. I was up walking around very soon after I got to the room. Yes, I was sore but nothing I could not handle. I do not consider myself to have a high pain tolerance.

Babigirl is doing well. Surgery went well on Friday and she went home on Saturday.

Thanks everyone for making room. You are all so supportive!

Juli916 congrats on being sleeved on Monday how are you feeling? Antelope too? Small world! Do you go to any support groups there?
-
Hi all, I was sleeved at 730am this morning by Dr. Jossart. I have a huge private room with a great view of San Francisco. I have had wonderful nurses so far.
I am feeling better than I thought I would. Just sips of Water today which hard cause I seriously cannot art awake. Little discomfort with my stomach when drinking but other than that no pain with incisions. Not even using my morphine pain pump.
So I need you all to slide over on the losers bench to make room.

Meee!!! Less than 48 hours I am getting sleeved.
December 7th has been my day since for what seems like forever ago and
I seriously cannot believe its here already.

Will be sleeved in two days but yes I am using disability.
I am taking 4 weeks off to make sure I am fully recovered.

When I went to my first information session for the sleeve one of the bits of info the nurse gave us was that we needed to have a good form of birth control ready because fertility goes way up as the weight comes off. My Dr asks that his patients not get pregnant for two years after surgery. I don't know if this is a standard or just what he thinks is best.
Not sure if thats the standard...my surgeon asks that his patients don't get pregnant for 1 year. I even had to sign a contract lol

When I had it prescribed I had to go to a "compounding" pharmacy to have it filled. It couldn't be found over the counter. Good Luck!
Amanda
I found it!! Even one pharmacy said it had to be prescribed but I was able to find it on vitalady.com
-
i also have a Vitamin D deficiency and i take 2 1.25 mg of drisdol weekly, which equals 100,000 IU if i did the math right. Im thinking the doc wouldnt have prescribed it if you could find it over the counter. Good luck finding the answer.
I was able to find this on Vitalady.com. My first surgeon did labs and never mentioned anything about taking vit d even though I was low in my my numbers. When I switched surgeons he has all his patients take 50,000IU weekly.

One of my main reasons as well for the surgery. I have heard somewhere on the forums that there was a study of 500 women who were unable to conceive prior to surgery and they were all 100% able to conceive afterwards. So I hope that means a yes for me.

My surgery is scheduled for December 19! I'm being sleeved by Dr. Jossart in San Jose, CA. This has been a long time coming and I can't wait!
Another Dr. Jossart patient!! How exciting!!!

Thanks everyone. I spent a good amount of time looking at the labels of every single BBQ Sauce and
found one low in carbs.
I also bought some honey mustard as well.
Thank you again
