Ok I start my pre-op diet in 20 days and I have never drank a protein shake in my entire life now I have drink 2 a day for a week!! Where do I get them at ? Are they like slimfast ? What are the flavors and the cost ? I also have to do 3 days of clear liquids there at the end which also makes me nervous. I have no idea where to start pleeeeeease give my some guidance?????

Who is your surgen in MX ? The reason I ask is because I am going there as well to have mine done with Dr. Ramos Kelly next month. I think it is scary in Mexico but my friend went to Juarez a while back and was fine. I would not leave the safety of the hotel or hospital other than that I think it will be fine I am with you on the cost thing and the fact is that it is just as dangerous to remain this size

who was the Dr. who preformed the surgey on your friend ?

I thought about that also but I am scared it will affect my pre-op BP or maybe my EKG.I am getting the surgery in Mexico but having a good physical here before I go to be certain I will be ok. Following a diet is so hard for me but if I cant change now how will I chaqnge for my sleeve?

I feel so inspired by your story as I get closer to my date. I enjoy getting a heads up on what's ahead for me.I am excited and scared and happy all at once. Getting closer makes it feel much more real and scary, but you story helps so much. Your friends here will never get tired of hearing you story it is a beautiful thing.

I have the worst case ever of the what ifs. What if I made the wrong choice to go to Mexico for surgery ?? What if I leave and never see my children again? What if my kids can't make it 5 days without me ? I am just thinking all the what ifs in my head now that it us just 5 weeks away and it has me a basket case !!!

I work with 4 people who have had the lap band and one who has had the sleeve. The one with the sleeve is always , has kept it off(115) and can eat anything she likes. Now out if the 3 with the band 1 just got it but throws up a lot. Another has had it 3 years and is always having to get fills or get them removed. Not to mention she has gained alot back. The other 2 are lighter than before but still way abouve their goal weight. In fact another coworker made a rude comment not get what the other girl had because it looks like it wore off! That right there made me 100% I was right . I hope what ever you have done that it works the way you need it to and I wish you luck.

Well I like that he is from the US and he keeps you a day longer at the same lower price. I also couldn't find realy anything bad against him besides one infection , which is a risk anywhere you go. I was first going to use Dr. Almanza Reyes but there was just to many negative things with his past for me to be comfortable. He was only a few hundred more and I like that you recover in a hotel not a recovery house where my guest may not be able to stay with me. In the recovery house if there is nit room your guest must go to a hotel at your expense. I hate to bash a Doctor who has never treated me but he was just not a fit for me. I just had a bad feeling in the pit if my stomach that is gone now. I hope I helped and maybe we will be in Mexico around the same time

I am going to Mexico to have surgery next month with Dr . Ramos Kelly and it is costing me 5300 and that includes 2 nights at Hospital & 2 nights at a Hotel. There are several good Doctors over there with great prices just where ever you go and who ever you pick please do lots of research. I hope you find a great dr

I work with several people who have had weight loss WLS 4 have the band and out if those 4 two vomit all the time 1 gained it all back as well did one of the girls who vomits and 1 out if them has has success. Another co- worker had the bypass and is still doing great as well as one who had the sleeve 2 years ago. The big difference is the guy with the bypass takes a giant nasty dump after every meal. After seeing them all go through these different WLS s I chose the sleeve because it basically works well with the least amount if nasty side effects .

LOL I am next month on the 19th and I am super excited !!! My husband has said the same thing . I tell him nope but if that's what he wanted I will hook him right in up ! I am hour same weight that's pretty funny lol. I am doing this for myself for I told him to be on my side or get the hell out of my way . He has been real real supportive sence then Because I am not backing off this surgery. Anyways welcome and I am super excited for you !!!'

Yea I am next month and also with Dr. Kelly this is such am exciting time for all of us and I am praying you have a great surgery and speedy recovery !!!

I think we all go through these feelings . It us no joke this is major and life changing so what your feeling is just part of it. I am scared to death to be going to Mexico to get my surgery so far away from my family. I just remind myself that it needs to be done and this is the only and push through my fear . I am going the 19 of February so we are going to be pretty close in there .

I think it is just your body adjusting to the change. With so much less intake it goes into survival mode storing all the fat. I think once it readjust you will start dropping more weight. Best wishes I can't wait till I get my sleeve Just remember when you were where I am now and be happy you are on the other side lol
