  2. Just updated my goal weight now that I am getting close to my original goal!!

I've done that a few times myself. My Surgeon never gave me a goal weight. He left that all on me to decide. Maybe he didn't want to pressure me at the time with numbers. Congratulations to hitting your first goal weight or close to it. :)

  3. The good news is. the longer you are in the WLS community, the easier it is to ignore inflammatory posts and people.

Yea but for a lot that usually means being less active and helping others who come after you. I am guilty of it but try to pop in least once a day if only for a few minutes.

  4. 26 days away from the trip I set as a reward for hitting goal. 3 years - 323lbs = 7 days at Disney and Universal

  5. I love reading posts from ppl who tell others they shouldn't get lapband because they have a high BMI...joke

In my opinion Doctor's have become so biased themselves because of patient non compliance. They want the quick in and out surgeries that make them money and not get chained down with after care.

Thank you both very much. Jamllyne I am still struggling with my self image. I look in the mirror all I see is the big unhealthy fat man. Only when I look at the side by side pics do I fully appreciate how far I've come. I hope some day that will change.

My BM have never been the same since surgery. I used to be a once a day to every 3 now even with extra fiber :(

  10. I am 3 months post surgery and have been in a two week stall. I am getting a little frustrate but not freaking out....yet. Eating less id not break me out of it, eating more did not break it, and it started when I started hitting the gym more frequently. I know the numbers don't lie and I will lose. I guess I just got spoiled by losing 4-5 week for so long. I hope this doesn't last much longer.

Hi Bob, Hang in there the scale will get moving again. I know it can be frustrating but slow and steady is the name of the game. Look for those NSV's to get you through. Looser clothes, extra hole on the belt. All the little things add up :)

Sharing an experience is one thing but down right telling someone they shouldn't do something because they will fail is just wrong even if it is based on their own experience. No two people are the same and the experience will vary.

You shouldn't expect weight loss this soon out of surgery. First month is healing. Scale could go up and down right now.

  15. Well I hit my goal that I set back in 2011. Time to book that Disney trip :)

You're averaging about 1.5lbs a week which is what is expected. 1-2 lbs a week. Sounds like you are on track. Congratulations!!

Exactly. I choose the good stuff over the bad cause I can only eat a little as it is.
