OK - just spoke with the insurance company and they indicated that VSG is on the "approved procedure" list. YEA!!!! The surgeons office was awesome about giving me the surgical code and diagnosis code and also looked up in the policy guideline to have them refer to. Once I gave them that they said it would be approved pending the pre-op testing!!! Thanks so much for your post and words of advice!!

I'm from Wheeling. I'm going to call them first thing in the AM and I'll let you know when I hear something. Some good news tonight was that my surgeon indicated that with Federal BCBS they sometimes do not require the full 6 months. Although that may not be important based on what you said about the first of the year. I'll be in touch!
