DOnt eat any milk products. that can cause gas and nausea! I have found that the more activity I get the better my nausea is. and plain Water makes me GAG so I add SPecial K2O to my water. better flavor and I get more Protein too! try chicken broth. popcicles, Soups (again NO milk). it is not unusual for us to try and eat more then we are ready for and get sick!!! only ONE bite at a time. SIP all liquids. I have also found that if I eat more then ONE bite I throw up! I hope this helps!

I went back to work on Monday... Seems to be going okay! Started walking last night... 20 min. Got my staples out yesterday too... And....... I have lost 14 lbs since 8/4..... Iam so excited!

How is everyone doing? Today I am feeling less weak and may go for a walk outside.....maybe.... What all are you eating? I am struggling to get 2 cups a day down!

On Monday I went to the hospital around 12. They took me back at 1245. They prepped me started an IV and had me put on a gown and then gave me some thing to relax. Then the anasteseologist? Came in again to review the questions one moore time. Then Dr. Kowalski came in to say hello and ask if I had any questions. I woke up in recovery. Lots of poison and I was really nauseated. They have me more pain meds and some thing for the nausea. They wheeled me to my room my husband and mom and friends were there. The nurses put new booties my feet. Asked my to rate my pain. THey joked up the self administered pain pump then I slept for about an hour. Lots of bells and beeps...really do did not get any sleep. The next morning they removed the cath. Then I had blood drawn and to ok a walk. Then respiratory came in and I breathed on to a little tube. Then I got wheeled down to radiology for the bariatric swallow test...... Then dr Kowalslis PA came in changed all the dressings and reviewed my questions and was really sweet.. Then ice chips came then jello and popsicles. Them it was just a master of time before I could be discharged.

I have staples. So no steri strips at all. I have had 5oz of protein drink and 4oz of chicken broth and 12oz of gaterade. I have also had one orange popcicle and 2 tbls of greek yogurt...and I guess that is still not enough..... Blech! When I stand up my belly pulls a HURTS! But I try to walk at least 10 min every 3 hours.... Still hurts

Meme.... How are you feeling? Iam so very sore. It hurts to stand mostly all I am doing is watxhing movies sleeping and sipping..... What pain meds are you on? I am on diladun... But still in pain!

I had my VS on monday @ 2:30. I was discharged around 7 on Tuesday. Yesterday sucked! Lots of pressure ln in my belly and poison in my drain site. It is just too painful to stand up straight and walk. I wonder how long this lasts..........

I got home last night. Got some sleep but in more pain. I miss the morphine pump! So fat I have sipped 1/4 a cup of broth and tje same of water. I also had a SF grape popcicle.... That was yimmy!

I feel like a litte kid at Christmas!!! Is anyone else going next week? Iam in Kansas City.

Surgery went well and I left the hospital last night. I drank a few spots of chicken broth and took a pain pill and went to sleep around 9. I woke up at 5 took another pill and have slept till 11. I woke up in alot of pain. It is looking like I wil take another pill drink some home made chicken broth (made by my hubbie) and go back to sleep!

Today is the day! Bye bye to all this weight that has held me back. I asked my hubbie to take my before pic. He asked me why when that girl was bring left behind. Why take more pictures..... I made him admit anyway..... God bless us all on this day!

Tomorrow is a big day, pardon the pun. Lets chat wednesday if if we feel up to it! I wish you ask the best possible days and amazing outcomes! I wikl post my our surgery pics tomorrow....then try to post once a week.til I lose 50 pounds then afteri lose 10 more each!

Thank you sooo much for your tips and walk through. Iam on ponds and needles waiting for Monday to get here. My hubbie can't stay over night-we have 2 young daughters. How late on Tuesday should I expect to stay? Hour are you both feeling almost a week out?.....do you have plans to take before and during pics? Thanks- Melissa
