  1. So after my Tummy Tuck from weight loss with the lap band, I decided to try the 21 day fix. I lost 7lbs in 2 weeks!! Has anyone else had good results with it? I altered it slightly to eliminate carbs. I'm interested to hear your take on it!

Blog post up, scroll through past posts to see tummy tuck / lap band before and afters.

  2. It's definitely a change! I feel like a whole new person actually.

I am part of multiple weight loss forums and post frequently to them, that's why I post links to my blog. It is too tedious to type out everything 3 different times PLUS on my blog.

If you need help navigating to anything else, let me know. Dig around the blog and thank you so much for reading.

  3. So I took some pictures before work today. I am 2 months post TT after having a Lap band done in 2011. I also am trying Thrive for the first time today. Has anyone else tried Thrive before? What was your experience like? I am doing it to try to get the boost of energy people claim they get. I am really interested to see how other people have benefited / what they think of it before I made a full purchase (I have a 5 day sample).

  4. Hey guys! I updated my blog. Someone had asked about my high school experience, being overweight and all around down on myself, so I updated a new post complete with pictures on how I looked in high school.

I thought I was so huge back then. I wasn't. I just needed to learn to love myself. Thanks to the LapBand I was able to do just that.

  5. Looking great ! How was the operation and recovery?

My operation took about 3.5 hours. They took 8 lbs of skin off. Recover was CRAP but I regret nothing. I was pretty worthless the first 2 weeks, then slowly got back into a routine by week 3. I was also working 1/2 days on week 3 (I'm a paralegal). Im at week 6 and i can pretty much do everything normal, except sleep on my side. Sometimes at night It hurts if I lay on the incision for too long.

  6. Hey all, I'm going to try to make this short (for full story, stalk my posts or something). I am scheduled for a panniculectomy Thursday and I am absolutely terrified. I was around 240 and my lowest was 160, now I'm back up to 185 (age 28, 5'1) and my panni gets rashes under it etc so insurance is paying to remove it.

I'm scared. I've read countless blogs, posts etc on how much pain people have with this surgery. I have a very difficult time taking pain medication because it seems to make me sick. I also only get 1.5 weeks off from work (paralegal, desk job).

Please please, if anyone has this done, please let me know how it went for you.

  7. My story is a long one, but if you want to read it on my blog http://shutthebitchu...e.blogspot.com/ (bit has changed, I'm 28 now, divorced, and happily in a relationship that is healthy)

    TL;DR version - Lost 85 lbs, (245lbs down to 160lbs) but now have gained 25lbs (186lbs)

Recently have reduced my weight down to 177.

I have not had very much liquid put into my band as of late. My doctor is super booked and its seems I can never get in and I am working constantly (paralegal). So without hardly any restriction, I packed on 25lbs. Now, through vigorous exercise and extreme dieting (minimal calories, veggies, chicken, eggs, repeat) I have lost 10 lbs of that.

I have not been feeling myself lately. I hate the way I look and am terrified of gaining weight back. I seem to have gained it all right in my abdominal region, which makes it so many things do not fit correctly at all. My confidence is low, and I am so sick of dieting I could harpoon something.

I know the end result will be worth it, and I need to go back in and get a fill, but I am struggling so hard right now. I would do anything to get down past 160 (my lowest) and hit 150 (my original pre-op goal) and I want to be 140 (over the moon, never going to happen goal).

I feel hungry all the time. I eat good, healthy veggies, I cut out cheese, I make very good choices because the band taught me that, however, my willpower right now is struggling and I want to see lower numbers on that scale.

Any tips or tricks you guys have to maximize your weight loss would be phenomenal right now. I need a pep talk :(

  11. UPDATE On march 5th I had to have emergency surgery to have my port moved to a different location. While my surgeon was inside he noticed that my hose to my port was bent and was causing the port itself to wedge itself into my abdomen. i am much better now! -40 pounds down and i have 4.5cc in my band :)
